Speaking for myself and my observations only, American men turn elsewhere because American women are socialized to castrate the "traditional" male role (the provider, the decision maker, etc.) here in the USA. American women are more manly in their ways than foreign women, and screw and bedhop and cheat with ease as their male counterparts (a very general, myopic observation of course from a man who spent his life mostly in San Francisco Bay Area). I may sound bitter, but from what I've seen, the Latin American and East Asian women are so much more 'feminine' in the traditional way.

Just an intrigue question, will everyone in this world immigrate to USA? well looks like it, I guess will come the day that the wait will be like for ever to get this K1.

In my case, my fiancee did not want to go to the USA. She'd rather find serenity in Japan, but her fate was she found a guy living in the USA. America has a lot of positives and some negatives, but remember, this is a BIG world and there are many beautiful and serene places in this world not monopolized on the Western Hemisphere. Heck, come my retirement years, I don't even know if I am going to live in the USA.

It may not be racism, but it definitely is prejudice/hate/intolerance. Call it what you want. You like to paint with a broad brush, so be it. If I said that people from Romania are cons, and that they shouldn't be trusted, that would be wrong. Coz just because Romania has been stereotyped in many different ways shouldn't make the whole country a bad country or their entire population untrustworthy. The US, like many countries, is a great country, and that is my opinion. I like the opportunity it has provided me and millions of other naturalized citizens.

About your little "maternity leave is 6 weeks in the US" statement -- I've just debunked that.

The Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) is a law that requires most companies to allow their employees up to 12 weeks of unpaid family leave time after the birth of their child.

Oh! I am here and have been for 14 years and counting . I came here because I knew life would be better for me in the US. I stuggled a little bit the first year in the US, but like they say, "I pulled myself up by my bootstraps" and now I have a job that pays me 95% more than I did back home, even though I had a really good job there too. I have a paid up home in Texas and a paid up car. I have used opportunities in the US to better my parents/siblings/family back home, and I know they are grateful that I came to the US.

In the past, I had 10-15 paid vacation days, plus 5-10 personal and sick days.

Just a moment. Sweeping statements are almost never true.

I ask people all the time where they are from, and engage them to learn more. I'm sure I'm not the only one.

I've been a social worker and a cop. So I've seen both ends of the spectrum being a helper and controller. LOTS of Americans love foreigners. I'm one.

That's love in the generic sense, I also happen to really love one in particular, or I wouldn't visit this site.

I'm one of the ones who feel if you don't love my country, don't come here. Citizen by birth, Nationalist by choice. The country and its citizens (including me) are FAR from perfect, keep that perspective in mind, please.

If you feel forced to come here, try to help make the country better. Get involved in the political process.

Volunteer. There are LOTS of options and TONS of need.

Complain with suggestions to improve = constructive criticism.

Complain without suggestions to improve = *itching. *insert consonant here.
