Still waiting for Approval since March 2011

Hello All,

Just to give you an update on my case,i am still pending waiting for an answer. Its been 1 year a 2 months since i submitted my i751 and still no answer. I have called numerous of times and they told me i am schedule for an interview, that i was chosen randomly but still no date of interview. I don't know what to do. I had to go to the USCIS office to get a stamp on my passport for an extra extension.

Is anyone on my same boat or heard of any case like mine? I am super nervous because i just want this to end. \

Should i submit my N400 even-though i haven't got an official approval from i751?? please advise!!!!!!

Submit your N400 if you wish to become a Naturalized Citizen. It will force them to process your 751.

I am ready to apply for the N-400 but i am affraid they might rejected and lose the money. What is the case if i have not yet been approved to my i751 and send my N-400? Does the n-400 goes on hold? What happens when the i751 gets approved and i have already file the n-400?

As Inky said, if you submit your N-400 it will force them to process your I-751. They cannot process your N-400 until the I-751 is finished with. They will not reject your application because you are still waiting for ROC to be completed.

Best of luck! That is so frustrating...there's absolutely no reason it should be taking over a year to process ROC. This is ridiculous!

June 11 filer here still waiting on ROC.

I filed my N-400 earlier this month (March) and had my biometrics last week.

Like many said, sometimes it's best to let them sort this mess out internally.

Just a suggestion, when you submit your initial N-400 package, include a copy of your expired GC (front and back), your NOA1 (extension letter), first page of your passport showing all you info AND a copy of the I-551 stamp. If you had put in any SR or received any status-related documents such as relocation notice, SR acknowledgement, make a copy and include them. You want to show them that you are keeping your own ROC application up to date.

Wow, that's so unfortunate!I guess applying for citizenship is the best strategy to choose at this point.

Hi , sorry to hear that you're still waiting for your approval i know your frustrations been there before, Cant make any suggestion about your situation . just want to let you know that I got my aproval and card a week after my extension letter expired. and i red on previous post like years ago that some get their approval almost two year?!?!. i hope it will not be in your case.. After i red that post i gave me a relief that im not alone experiencing the long waiting for approvals. it gives me hope... try to read old post and you'll be enlighten in a little way.. good luck !

They cannot adjudicate your N-400 until they adjudicate your I-751. Also, the USCIS has more resources and money for naturalization processing rather than for permanent residency.

That being said, this will force them to make a decision on your I-751 ASAP. I know of a poster who had his I-751 adjudicated within a week of his filing of the N-400.

thank you all for your advise and comments. I will start working on my N-400 package. I hope my i751 gets approved as soon as they get my N-400 application.

Question: for N-400 interview , does my husband has to go with me or that is just me???
