you will get an email with AOS invoice, when you do you will be able to pay it. But you can also check the portal, it might become available before the email gets to you. When the information goes missing from the portal you know you are being invoiced as well. Start getting your packages together and be prepared, double and triple check. So that once payment goes through. you can send off the packages and get everything moving.

Thanks very much for your help.:)

The only way to know if NVC has received your petition is to call them up. The number is in the first post. There is NO website to check.

In the interview package, there is no "medical letter". The information about your country's specific medical can be found here: http://travel.state..../info_3739.html

Due to your situation, the panel physician might accept the first NVC letter you got (which has the beneficiary's name and all the numbers (case and invoice)). This is what panel physicians accept in countries that allow advance medicals. How did you find out about your wife's interview today? Was it through email? If so, print the email out and bring it to the medical. In your situation, they should accept it.

If worse comes to worse and the panel physician won't accept anything besides the interview letter, and if you don't get that in time, just go to the interview. They'll just put your case into AP for missing documents. As soon as the medical is complete, send in the medical results and they'll process your visa.

The U.S. CONSULATE just mailed out my wife Interview Package today, 4 working days before her interview!

This is what panel physicians accept in countries that allow advance medicals. How did you find out about your wife's interview today? The U.S. CONSULATE called my wife today and i confirmed it by calling DOS! Was it through email? TELEPHONE If so, print the email out and bring it to the medical. In your situation, they should accept it.

Don't no how long, not many Hong Kong filers here on VJ, also my wife has no options at this time. The Bottom-line is that 9 times out of 10 she will not have any medical results by the next day for her interview! I'm sure its AP until medical completed!

She should ask when she calls them up. If it takes longer than a day (there are some places that have the results available within a few hours by the way!), then she might want to move the medical earlier, depending on how long it takes.

But, it also depends on if they'll accept just the NVC letter with her name and case number or if they absolutely need the interview letter. I'm hoping in her case, because it's soon, that they'll be fine with what she has. I'm not sure how strict they are at Hong Kong, so...
