I am in UK (Nationality : Indian). My girl friend is in US and we are planning to apply for K1 visa.

Its been a hard time for us as she needs to travel now then to UK for visiting me and sometimes we make it in India as its hard for me to get even a tourist visa for US.

Our Question is, is it easier/better option for us to file K1 visa in US embassy London rather than she applying in US.

If it is in UK we both can apply together and can have interview straight away rather than she applying in US and they sending files to London office and asking me to attend interview.Wont it be more easier for the visa issuing office as they can meet both person together? She is visiting me in June and was thinking to apply in this June.

Any ideas or suggestions welcome.

Please Help!

Thanks

Sorry . seems like I didn't mention this point that She visit me in England every 4 months . So the real question is whether She can apply here in UK at USCIS london for me during her next visit (Next month)?

Or She can Only apply USCIS in US???Does the USCIS london office accepts K1 application from US citizen??

Thanks a lot!

Hmmm if it was possible and faster, every UK/US couples would do it! Just saying... :)

And look at this link: http://london.usembassy.gov/immigrant-visas/fiance.html

"Applying for the visa

The first step in applying for a fiancé(e) visa is for the U.S. Citizen fiancé(e) (the petitioner) to file a petition on Form I-129F with the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) in the United Staters. Note: The petition can only be filed with the USCIS in the U.S.; it cannot be filed with the USCIS office in London."

So the answer is NO.

No you cannot.

You can only file a spousal petition directly with the embassy, not a fiance one, and only if the US spouse lives in the foreign country legally for at least 6 months.
