Hello all!

Counting down the days now until my interview, 10 whole days to go, what a wait it has been!

A wait of 322 days, almost one year, since petition filing until the interview date, it has been a marathon and a half.

Certainly not for the faint hearted.

Waiting for the seemingly elusive NOA2 is a long hard road to travel, the roller coaster ride, the separation, longing to be with the one you love, feeling stuck in limbo, waiting and waiting, it all see

Then finally you recieve the NOA2 approval, relief along with anticipation, surely things will move faster now!

NVC and then the consulate in your country has your petition, more relief and feeling that the end is ever nearer.

Gathering your Packet 3 information and filling out more forms is a job and a half indeed, you are slowly but surely closing the gap nearer to that long awaited interview date.

The day, the actual moment you mail off the Packet 3 is a cause for celebration, the sheer relief, at last, you have done all you possibly can to reach this stage.

More waiting, the days pass by, you check your emails, holding your breath each time, Packet 4, interview date, please be in the in-box for real.

Packet 4 arrives, you read your interview date, you can hardly believe, its surreal, you have the interview date, after all the waiting and frustration, at last!

Still waiting but, its of a different kind, feelings of apprehension, nervousness and excitement, hoping to hear the words " your petition is approved".

Reading as many reviews as possible to gain insight, smiling each time I notice a K1 approval knowing how long the journey has been to reach the prize.

Counting down the days, keeping busy at work, spending time with friends and family, missing my love each minute of each day, knowing that each day is another less apart.

Thinking of all who are waiting, keep your heads up and keep your hope alive.

Congratulations and good luck. I wish there were more from Senegal so I would get an idea of how the process goes from consulate to the interview. But I just have old posts to look and and I guess we will be winging it. I have faith in God and my fiance that we will make it just fine.
