Hello .

I'm having a little problem with the AFFIDAVIT OF SUPPORT . I have been only working for like 2 month ... i dont have any record of job before . I went to an office that deals with imigrations and visas and i ask them to how can i add my dad as my cosponsor and they said that for the form I-134 you cant add a cosponsor. That what i can do is to put only dad. (as far as i know the petitioner need to be main sponsor for the beneficiary) they also tell me that what i can do to make sure that i have no preblem is to do 2 affidavit, ( one my dad and one me ) . I'm very confused i dont know what to do .. should i do both or only my dad . and what about when he gets here and i have to do the change of visa status ... can i put my dad as a cosponsor again .??? any suggestion will be really apreciate thanks :star:

Does your Dad measure up to the poverty guideline according to the size of his household? If yes, You will need to fill out one I-134 as the main sponsor while your dad will fill out one too as the co-sponsor, that means you will be submitting two I-134. You will be doing the same during the AOS

You are the primary sponsor and will fill out an I-134 and provide your most recent year's tax transcript (or a statement explaining that you were not legally required to file taxes if you did not file due to having 0 income), a letter from employer stating position and salary, plus a few months worth of your most recent pay stubs.

Your father will fill out his own I-134 and provide the same documents as you, plus proof of being a USC or LPR. He will need to make enough to meet the 125% poverty level for his own household size plus your fiance. http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/i-864p.pdf

ok thanks very much ..

thanks very very much

And that office info was correct, you can not ADD a cosponsor onto a 134 form.....you submit a separate 134 form for use as a cosponsor. They answered correctly albeit your question may have been a little misleading and of course they weren't observant enough to understand what you were asking.
