Hey everyone!

We just called the Department of State to make sure that it was true that the K1 visa fee was decreasing from $350 to $240 on April 13, 2012... and it's true! Just to let all of you planing on filing for it. There's a link to it on the main page of this website.

Good news!

K1 NOA1: April 18th, 2012
K1 NOA2: October 25th, 2012 (190 days at VSC, NO RFE)
NVC number: November 1st, 2012 (7 days after NOA2)
INTERVIEW: November 29th, 2012 (APPROVED)
POE: December 14th, 2012 (Miami)
MARRIAGE: December 21st, 2012 (the end of the world! lol)
AOS SENT: December 26th, 2012
AOS NOA1: December 31st, 2012
AP/EAD NOA1: December 28th, 2012
BIOMETRICS: January 31st, 2013
AP/EAD APPROVAL: February 20th, 2013
AP/EAD card in the mail: March 2nd, 2013

GREEN CARD APPROVED: September 17th, 2013 (no interview)

is this the filing for for i129F? or the visa fee that is payed at the embassy were your fiance goes to the interview?

It's for the visa fee paid either before or at the embassy when you have your interview. :thumbs:Not the I-129F petition.

The instruction sheet I read said $340.00. Did I send wrong amount?

That is the correct amount. The fee change was for the visa fee paid at the embassy level, which will be, through this Friday, $350.

Quick reminder: USCIS is under the Dept. of Homeland Security. The K-1 visa interview is handled at the embassy level, which falls under the Dept. of State. The visa fee change was posted on the Dept. of State's website. :thumbs:

I have been a nervous wreck filing I-129f.

Already was returned once for not checking status of my fiancé and have not heard anything for NOA-1 but has only been 2 days. Having the fate of my life in someone else's hands in unnerving for me. Little OCD )))))
