I wonder sometimes.

If you have problems with or are uncomfortable around women in the US it is not going to be any easier in the FSU. Men there are a little more agressive and pursue a woman with a little more vigor than the average man does here. A passive man stands no chance...

I think what we perceive as "more aggressive" is just a cultural thing. My wife shakes her fist from time to time...looks like it's aggressive, but it's just a Russian thing, like "don't even think about it!" Likewise, FSU women seem daunting, but when it comes down to it, they're all different. I have a good friend who used to post here often...most passive guy I've ever met, and his wife (Russian) is wonderful.

I pity the woman who puts up with some of the high school posturing that goes on around here though. They've either got really low self-esteems, or they have no idea how their husbands write about them behind their back. The last place the OP should be looking for "romantic" (or whatever that was) advice is here. They'd get better advice from a frat rush.

My low self esteem wife is giving a speech to a convention of medical professionals this evening in Boston. I am going to drive down there, listen to her presentation and have hot sex with her all night in her hotel room and then drive back tomorrow. It helps her low self esteem to know I would drive 200 miles each way to see her speak and then have sex with her. Part of her therapy. It is tough but I will do it because I love her...she would do it for me.

She reads VJ occasionally, I never know when, has talked with many members on the phone and even met some in person. So it cannot be that she doesn't know what I post, it must be the low self esteem.
