Well, a bit more good news! Official word from NVC operator Donna is that our AOS has been accepted, we're just waiting on the fee bill which she believes will be released Friday. Phew! Now if that expedite would be approved I'd be even more relieved!

When u call, what do they tell you?

We just received case closed for my wife today, so we're hoping to hear something regarding the interview date in the next day or two. My wife insists that Chile doesn't have many family based visa applicants, so even if they started assigning dates for interviews in May they should still have open slots for us.

I would guess that Haiti has a high number of family based visa applicants, especially since the earthquake. I just looked through other Haiti members timelines for IR-1/CR-1 visas and it appears that you get through the USCIS faster than most, but from there it slows down, probably because there is a backlog for interviews at the Embassy. I really hope you are able to get your expedite approved so you can be there when your wife gives birth.

My son got his interview date after less than a week after case complete and he's scheduled on May 10. But we're going to re-schedule it in June so that my NVC case can catch up.

Huh? The casefiles weren't joined up at NVC? That's always possible, when ya ask for it.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.
