Thanks guys. Just a brief recap of my interview. Hialeah ASC. Appt time 10:15. The wait in the lobby was 1 hr. Smooth entry through security, then waited for my number to be called. We were called at 11:00am. Pleasant female officer. Essentially painless interview. No probing questions. Small talk about prior work she had in my home country. Verified personal info, discussed how we met, wedding, and photos reviewed, gave documents showing proof of relationship. She had mentioned that she would take my passport to copy something, but did not. Stated she would check the database for my H1B 797 after the interview. Signed paperwork regarding ROC, signed perjury paper. She did not take my work permit, she took my 194, some of my pics, and almost all of my supporting documents. Took 12-14 minutes total. Approved on the spot. For the records I took many things she did not ask for but took once i mentioned that i had them. My rfe was regarding work so i brought pay stubs, which she never asked for. She also did not ask for my bank statements after I handed her my other proofs. she said "yes, id like to see them". There was a storm in the area and I was not even sure they would be working, but she seemed pretty happy to be working in the midst of a tropical storm, and i am glad she was. Left at 11:13 am. Got emails and texts at 6:30 sharp.

congrats

ALuciansWifey and Mrsaveemac - Congratulations! So glad to hear this news.

Well, I finally got my RFE info sent off today, so hopefully all this well and the next thing I will get it my appointment date.

On Aug 21 I went in for an Infopass Appointment and things went smoothly. Security guards were kind of gruff, but they did their job well. We arrived a little late and then waited for over an hour to be called. The officer was nice, and very helpful. We asked whether we would be able to transfer our case files to Tampa. His Answer: It can't be changed. We explained the silly-ness about our physical address vs. postal address. Nothing can be done. They've got a pin in the town where we 'live', which is in a county covered by Orlando. Our little community and our home, about 30 mins away, across county lines and under Tampa jurisdiction, doesn't exist on their radar.

Has anyone else encountered this?

Does sound silly, but why would you want to change your location now, anyway? It will only slow things down? Since they will have to transfer files. And we all know how GREAT USCIS is at transferring files efficiently..... Aren't Tampa and Orlando just an hour and a half away from each other?

I remember getting crazy waiying for the interview after my rfe... Now just cancelled interview... Sigh...

Oh no! Cancelled interview really hurts...I know that... fingers crossed you get a notice soon. There probably was just a delay in the file transfer. That's what happened to me... I went to an Info Pass right after they cancelled my interview and the IO said he had no idea where my file is....and that it could take months to receive a new interview notice so I was FREAKING out but before I knew it another letter arrived. Hoping Hoping Hoping that's the case with you too.

Yay I got approved the day of my interview. Went in and she approved me on the spot. She was rather nice and understanding and understood my need to have to immediately head up to Canada since my grandmother died the evening before the appointment.
