I'm confused...

I looked at the link and (If I didn't read it incorrectly) it tells me to write a letter asking for an expedite, and attach the evidence.

However, I just got off the phone with USCIS and they told me that I should fill out a form (I-907: Request for Premium Processing Service), but there's a $1225.00 fee with it.

You can also schedule an InfoPass appointment with your local USCIS office:

If you have already filed your application or petition:

You can make an expedite request by contacting the National Customer Service Center (NCSC) at 1-800-375-5283. The NCSC will take a “service request” and forward your expedite request to the office with jurisdiction over the application or petition. You also have the options of 1). visiting your local office by scheduling an InfoPass appointment or 2). writing a letter to the local office or service center.

I called again and this lady took my information and submitted the expedite request. I think the first rep didn't know what she was talking about. Now my question is, should I submit the evidence (doctor's letter) now or wait until they ask me for them?

It's my understanding from the USCIS site that Premium Processing Service only applies to employment-based applications, not marriage/family based. I'm assuming your application was for the K1 visa, considering you posted here, which is marriage/family based and so wouldn't be eligible for the PPS.

Other expedite posts have suggested that you are sent a form requesting additional information, and you submit the information along with a copy of that form.

Try doing a forum search for "expedite", and you can see what has and hasn't worked for some people. It will also give you an idea of whether or not your medical reason is going to be valid for an expedite (for instance, pregnancy isn't a reason for expedite). Good luck!

DO NOT send anything until you are requested to send it. They will not get the information because you do not have the correct place to send it.

yes your totally confused. expedite request is totally different from premium processing service. premium processing they will try to rush your visa(within 15days). but if they couldn't they will give you money back.

expedite request(no charge) if you fall in those particular category such like medical issue or financial hardship.(please see the USCIS for the info)

i called USCIS regarding this matter earlier too. they told me to fax a letter(explaining why you want to expedite) to NVC with the ff info. name(beneficiary/petitioner) DOB(beneficiary/petitioner) receipt# or the nvc# whatever you have..naturalization of the petitioner and fax it @ (603)334-0791.

The longer it takes to happen the more you'll appreciate it when it does!

Wait until you receive an email from USCIS. That email will have instructions on where to fax your evidence.
