No proof of ongoing relationship

I see a lot of people saying here that they brought a proof of ongoing relationship to the interview.

(and it seems that the proof has to be of between the time of filling the petition and now.)

Well. I haven't seem my boyfriend since before we filed the petition and we usually talk through online telephone service.

He didn't propose me and give me an engagement ring.

There seems to be nothing to prove our relationship...

The embassy doesn't say anywhere that it is required to bring a proof of relationship. I just see a lot of people here and other websites did so.

So....do we really need it? Would I be in trouble if they asked for it at the interview and I didn't have it... even though they didn't ask for it in any of their instructions?

Proof of an on-going relationship definitely has huge impact on whether the visa is approved or not. The main point is that whoever is doing the interview must feel that yours is a bonafide relationship and not fake. Material like phone bills, boarding tickets, pictures, that you've met in last two years (requirement w/i-129 petition) unless you or whoever petitioner are able to document reason of not meeting. Read the instructions for the i129f form, pages 1-7 i believe.

If you cannot provide some type of proof how are they to know that there is a real relationship. Think of it this way, how would you believe someone has a real realtionship if they do not visit, or can show proof of relationship. How can you honestly feel you want to marry someone and you dont visit them enough to even know if you two are rigtht for each other. Because people dont visit enough they then run into the problem of "did not know the person was like this" once they get to the states because enough time was not spent together prior to the visa being issued.

Presumably you had enough evidence to send with the petition to prove you met within 2 years: boarding passes, photos, etc.? Bring the originals of all of that evidence, plus evidence that you have continued to maintain a relationship since you submitted the petition. I will not be seeing my fiance until just before our interview, either, but we will have emails, phone records, maybe even some snail mail, records of wedding preparations, etc. between the petition submission and the interview.

Can you print out evidence of talking through the online phone? I don't know what service you use but Skype keeps a record. Do you have cards or gifts that you have sent each other? Pictures from when you met each other?

just try to bring anything u have.like emails, pictures, cards. we didnt had any phone records as well cuz we messenger a lot and Skype or wrote txt messages during the day so i brought emails and the txt we send and pictures. we send each other cards for holidays and that..try to bring as much u have.

Which country is your home country and what embassy will you have your interview at? Some embassies don't even ask for the ongoing relationship evidence. Online calls are evidence as well. Just because you haven't seen each other doesn't mean you haven't got proof. Phone calls, texting, emails etc., there are ways to print it out and bring to the interview.
