Just got an RFE on my I-485,

Apparently when i entered on my K1 visa my original medical forms (DS-2053, DS-3024, DS-3025, D-3026)WERE NOT FORWARDED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF STATE. They have my immunization record ( I sent a copy with my I-485) but original medical and vaccination records are required. I am now requested to complete a form I-693 and have my medical completed by an approved civil surgeon.

so basically does this mean i have to have another medical done here? obviously I am quite annoyed as I paid a lot of money to have my first medical done.

Does anyone have any experience with this and can advise on what i might expect next?

Thanks!!

You could attempt to locate and have the file sent. If it got mixed at POE or something like that. But its much faster to just give in and have the medical redone by the civil surgeon. Pretty much the same thing that happened overseas will happen here state side. Make sure to bring a copy of the vaccination sheet you have though so you wont have to do the vaccinations over again.

Come over to the Aussie chat thread (link in my signature). Depending on where you had your medical you should be able to contact the panel physician and have them forward you a copy of the medical. Mine was Melbourne and there was no problem with that. You could send that to them with a letter stating hte medical is located in the A file handed over at POE.
