I-134 Question about signature area...

In the signature area it states:

I acknowledge that I have read "Sponsor and Alien Liability" on Page 2 of the instructions for this form, and am aware of myresponsibilities as a sponsor under the Social Security Act, as amended, and the Food Stamp Act, as amended.______________

( Form I-134 (Rev. 05/25/11) Y Page 2 )

it seems to imply something should be done where the underscore is, but nothing comes out and says that. Do we initial? the place where we sign is clearly indicated, but this underscore just sits there mocking me. blush.gif

Thanks in advance,

Hey Joe,

Is yours different than this sample? http://www.visajourn.../Form-I-134.pdf

Yes, the sample form is older. The new form in the signature area has two lines:http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/i-134.pdf.

Joe, I plan on putting my initials in the first spot and then my full signature at the bottom.

Yeah, I figured that maybe there was a different form around.

Do any of you know who we should talk to about making samples of the new ones? I can help.... I've got nothing better to do at the moment smile.gif

There's a thread in the Site Issues forum where a few folks, myself included, have left comments on updating the forms, but I'm not sure if anyone has been designated to move forward with the form updates. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/353012-new-visajourney-immigration-guides/

The I-134 is just one of the forms that is different.

Hello:

I have this exact same question about the signature area and not having any results with queries on Google. I did noticed the description says "Relationship" when you hold your mouse over the area, although a relationship to the applicant does not seem to fit in this location.

Has anyone out there been approved by only providing initials in this area?

Thank you in advance for your assistance.

I don't know why it says Enter Relationship, but you can ignore it completely good.gif

Thank you so much for the quick reply! I'm still kinda' concerned about it, but will ignore as suggested. I wish they didn't have it there to make me worry like that, especially with the mouse-hint that says description, which makes no sense!

Thank you again for the assistance!

No worries. Nothing goes there. Just sign and date it on the line where it asks. Ignore the extra line.

I wouldn't be too concerned, USEM has not been asking for affidavit of support at interviews for some time now.
