Yodrak - you think so? even though the guy completely apologized?? I don't think he needs to be reported if a sincere apology was offered, which she said it was.

Finally finished with immigration in 2012!

I'm reading your comments and realising that we Brits can be too reserved for our own good. Developing the courage to complain about bad service is practically a terrifying concept to us... but I am learning.

I thought I would share a story with you of the time my hubby and my best friend went to a well known eatery in Los Angeles. I went to the rest room while they got seated and when I came back I found my husband very furious. Apparently in this all-you-can-eat place the person seating us had showed my hubby and my friend to a booth, took one look at my friend (who is a beautiful, very curvy and highly intelligent black woman) and asked her if she wouldn't be more comfortable at a table. What he meant, according to my beloved, was the guy didn't think she would fit in the booth (cheeky #######). She politely told him it was fine, took her seat and ordered an Ice Tea drink. He looked at her and in complete seriousness, asked her "will that be 'Diet'?" Of course when I got back he had left and hubby and bud were simply seething. Then the server (who was apparently not aware of the prior conversation) came up and gave her a diet drink, and my friend asked them to change it, which they did. Meanwhile hubby is telling me what happend and I am stunned. We decide to stay and, since it's an all-you-can-eat place, and one that has sushi (my favorite food), I reassure my friend that the jackass in question should fear the hungry, skinny white chick the most, and I ate waaaaaaaaaaaay more than anybody expected, just to prove to the pissy dude that you can't judge a book by its cover. We didn't leave a tip (shocker, not!) but hubby told us in the car, horror upon horror, the said same gent who sat us was having a hissy fit with another customer, waving their receipt in their face and yelling at them for not leaving a tip at all and how this paid their wages and all that. hubby pointed out to us that, had he not already had a furious urge to pummel said same dude, he would have gone up to the customer (in front of said arrogant dude) and told the customer that tips were a GRATUITY.

We only went back one other time and, yes, I did eat them out of house and home, just to spite them.

hugs

Annie

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).
