I guess that depends if they start at the tail end of the month prior... by the time they get their interview dates and communicate it out?

Who knows :-) Essentially though it could be all month long, I'm just happy for a bit more info and helpful operator!

Yeah, who knows.

Glad you found an operator that actually tried explaining it to you good.gifInstead of just being rude and telling you to stop calling until the second week of April headbonk.gif

Lizka - Thank you so much for your response... I'm really praying that I do get it sooner... I'm with VSC, I heard they are faster but then again.. :(

no worries, we're all here to guide you through your process, just keep a level head and start getting your paperwork for NVC in order now, we waited and now we're lagging a bit with the process, so get your financials in order, order your tax return transcripts, get your taxes filed for 2011 and get your spouse to get all their documents in order with translations, that way when the time comes, you are ready!

So I managed to illicit some information from a lovely lady called Irene at the NVC today.

Essentially as a rule they tell people they only schedule during week 2 of a month, because they take each month as it comes and dependant on load for a particular embassy they do start earlier, but as ever it's fluid and the only rule they have is that it does start on the 2nd week on the month.

No real help- but she was empathetic and told me to keep callin and asking, incase.

tehe, you mean solicit? illicit means you did something illegal and naughty, which may very well be the case :innocent:

back to the topic though, i don't know how true the "dependant on load for a particular embassy" factoid is, considering spain is the least bit busy, but is the slowest embassy to book appointments from what i've seen :hehe:

hi guys jus a quick question, in mailing the IV package, i used a brown envelope and put the address:

National Visa Center

Attn. CMR

31 Rochester Avenue Suite 100

Portsmouth, NH 03801-2914

and then the people at the postal service put it into a 2nd envelope, this time i had to write the adress of the NVC again but left out Attn CMR

WILL THAT BE A BIG PROBLEM???????????????????????????

It shouldn't be, no. They'll re-route it to the correct department, so no worries.

this may delay since there are a million different departments, one for aos, one for iv, one for just the checklists, but i'm sure once they see the package inside, they will route it to the right place, so maybe just a small delay

Saylin, I just mailed my AOS packet after seeing AOS bill reflecting "PAID". Is it weird that the money is still in my account but the bill shows "PAID"?

Please update spreadsheet. Thanks.

Mine was good yes.gif

I didn't have pizza slices, per se, but Bagel Bites instead:

Updated the spreadsheet.

It is a little weird. It's usually the other way around, the money is taken out first, and then shows as PAID. Is there any pending charge on your account that you see?

No. And I just checked again just to make sure. And I know we don't have the same bank (NVC and I)coz my bank is a Texas only Bank. Maybe they have an internal automated thing hooked up to the finance systems' Electronic Funds Transfer. Or maybe the PAID is activated when an NVC person reviews/accepts the payment. OR I am in the hook for the money even if the check bounces, so I would end up owing the bank if the check bounces. (not that I would ever bounce a check - I swear!! ) Just thinking of all the different scenarios.

Banks usually take a while to update the transaction and deplete it from your account. at most banks it can take up to one business day.
