 Thank you. My only point was that it may not be required, although recommended.

Gotcha

On another note, I called NVC again this morning and after giving my receipt number, she asked for the receipt date right away and said I need to wait at least 15 days for them to receive the file... even though I've seen one member with an NOA2 the day after mine with a case number already... SIGH

Oh yes, translations are definitely not required. I just highly, highly, highly recommend them, solely because I've seen people get checklists for not sending in translations, even though they were in the official language of the country where their consulate/embassy is situated.

And don't listen to those darn operators. You'll get your case number soon ;)

Saylin, do you think is possible to add a column in your time spreadsheet of when NVC schedules an interview? This will help us estimate how long it takes from Case Complete to interview? Unfortunately, the timeline doesn't have this category, it has from NOA2 to Interview. Is hard to estimate when we only have NOA2's date. Your time spreadsheet is a lot better and we can see if RFE's were issued. I know is a lot of work, so is ok if you don't want to add anything else. Thank you for all your Help! :star:

That would be a LOT of work, especially going through all 500 lines on my spreadsheet :P

Plus, keep in mind, it's country specific, so you'd have to look through them to find YOUR country. It's easier to use the timeline feature as you can sort by country. Then start looking at people's timelines closely. They have the case complete date on the timelines, as well as a packet 4. Just do your research. That's what I did, and then made my own little Canadian spreadsheet with important dates of case complete, interview date assigned/packet 4 received, and interview date. I then went further to see how long it'd take to receive my visa, so I added a "received visa" date on my spreadsheet :D

AOS invoice shows PAID! YAY - time to make one last copy of our AOS packet and get ready to mail it off!

Grats! I'm looking at your PM now. Expect a reply very soon :)

Woooow! That's what I thought. Thank you! I will try a few :)

Just to make sure, you're using this link, right: http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/k1list.php?cfl=0&op1=3&op2=d&op3=5&op4=1&op5=5,6,8,10,11,13,14,15,16,17,18,20,21,22,25,26,27,28,108,110,111,208,210,211&op6=All&op7=India&dfile=No&adv= Then just open each person's timeline into a new tab, studying the days between case complete and packet 4 received and interview date. If timelines aren't complete, look at their signatures, if they have one. This is what I did.

I MIGHT update the spreadsheet over the summer (when I don't have to worry about school), but I'm not sure. It would take a lot... Or perhaps I can start a separate spreadsheet for it, in order of country to make it simpler.

Great, thanks! I'm double and triple checking everything in the meantime...

Replied :)

If you have someone else available, have them review the entire package as well.

When did you get your case number? What browser are you using to log into the payment portal?

Just because it was entered last night, does not mean the IIN can't be given to you. My case was entered on a Tuesday, and I got my case number, IIN, and BIN on that Tuesday. Just call back up and ask again. Some operators are dumb and refuse to give it to you and just tell you to wait for the email instead.

I called back and was given IIN#'s for both cases. The operator told me that they still had to pass through QA before I could pay my AOS fee. I was able to login to the payment portal, but the AOS hasn't been invoiced yet.

Saylin you can mark me down as NVC case received as of today.

If you just got your case number on Monday, it might still be a few days before the AOS is invoiced. It's normal to not see anything yet, no need to call. Just keep checking the payment portal. Stick with IE on Windows as that's what the government sites are coded for. Your bill should appear by this Friday.

Well, stubborn me just called NVC again just now (lol) and a very kind operator named Nicki told me that my case was just recently received (the rude lady from this morning told me that it hadn't arrived yet) but that I needed to wait about another week before any numbers were available. I'll give it a few days... but i suppose them receiving the file is something!!! I'll take what I can get... :D

You can download the bar code, print it or email it at the time when you made a payment. You need to select AOS or IV fee, and then click on Receipt at the top of then email or print the bar-code. I attached 2 screen shots. I know it is confusing a little bit.

Yes, it should be.

1) Click on the Select button for IV bill

2) on the Bottom, click on "Print Document Cover Sheet".
