####### is "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion" then?

It means their will be no official State religion, for instance, like the Church of England. However, the individual states are permitted to do so, and did at one time. The Constitution, in the First Amendment, prohibits the Federal government from preventing anyone from freely practicing their religion. There is no such prohibition against the states, however, in the First Amendment. Or, such was the case, until the middle of the 20th century, when FDR's appointments to the Federal Courts began the secularizing of America (like good little communists).

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof;

Known fact that FDR's government was full of communists.

Is this a test of how far off topic you can push a thread?

Freedom from religion is freedom of religion. You can worship the biblical God, the Koranic God, golden idols, or your moronic posts. That is freedom dude!

So you want a medal for figuring out you have the right not to believe or worship? Your "freedom from religion" post was a real display of genius.

This is just one more reason why I can't stand religion and the brain dead nutters it attracts. That judge should be disbarred and the perp jailed. I'm sure the judge is going to be out of a job soon enough.

1st Amendment.

"I want to take this opportunity to mention how thankful I am for an Obama re-election. The choice was clear. We cannot live in a country that treats homosexuals and women as second class citizens. Homosexuals deserve all of the rights and benefits of marriage that heterosexuals receive. Women deserve to be treated with respect and their salaries should not depend on their gender, but their quality of work. I am also thankful that the great, progressive state of California once again voted for the correct President. America is moving forward, and the direction is a positive one."

Maybe if we try hard enough, we can get some laws going here like Saudi Arabia, Iran, and Pakistan. I mean if were going to go all out third world, then lets do it right.

i doubt that. the judge saved the community money. no actual footage of the confrontation, just cell footage shot by the other dbag trying to upset people. one's word against the others. good luck finding a jury to convict. chalk it up as 'don't start none, won't be none' moment. :)

It certainly put your crochety posts full of flatulent arrogance to shame. Do you need an apology?

The muslim is an idiot... illegal to insult Mohammed? Probably forgot what country he was in. this is one of the issues people have with immigrants. Immigrants coming and ignoring the rules of the country they're in and instead following those of the country they left.

... there's this thing called "freedom of speech". That doesn't give the muslim guy the right to physically assault the atheist and the judge was a moron for letting him get away with assault simply because his faith was insulted. Ridiculous ruling.

the muslim can come on down to york county any time he likes and try this game.

appeal of the court ruling is in order.

judge is in violation of procedural rules and his finding would be overturned in a heartbeat.
