Nothing beats having everyone here for support and some answers. Im just a little confused about getting the right forms together from my end (USC) for her interview in Moscow.

The original BC they ask for and a photocopy is hers, correct? They have a copy of mine.

Evidence of termination of prior marriage(s) (if applicable), original, photocopy and translation into English. that again would be hers? (none) Mine is a certified copy and she also has original.

I forget where I read, but I thought they wanted another "intent to marry" letter. Maybe it was in the K1 guide on here. It wont hurt to write another one just in case.

Other than that, we have it all together, and her book full of emails, pictures, police certs, vac records, and so on is ready to go. Wow we are excited! SO long but so fast! Seems like yesterday we had what seemed like hundreds of pages halfway organized on our bed at our hotel in LA waiting to send in the packet! Poof, 6 months 2 weeks later here we are. Im so lucky!

They asked at my interview for the original USC birth certificate and divorce decree.

They wanted to see it next to the copy for proof.

They looked at every page of his divorce decree and specially at the stamp seal on it.

They gave back both originals and kept the copys.

that is so good. When I made the binder for my fiancee. I put each item in a plastic protective sleeve. First copy is the original with 2 copies behind it. I really hope they don't keep any of my originals. They are hard and expensive to get. Especially my birth certificate with the apostille attached to it.

Ask for all originals back after the interview - they should not be keeping any of them if they have seen the original and a copy of it.

If you don't ask they may just keep it.

Yes updated letter of intent. You also need to send the 134 and accompanying documents... Follow the VJ Guides and Example Forms.

Also go to the Moscow Embassy website and download all the forms....note that the DS-157 must be filled out in Russian and is ONLY available from that website.

Phil (Lockport, near Chicago) and Alla (Lobnya, near Moscow)

Im sure each embassy is a little different. But I did get this response from them. They have been pretty good at answering questions by email, just takes a few days

We do not require the original birth certificate of Petitioner at the interview.
