How quickly can you get married after entering the US on a K1 visa.

I just want to give my parents and brother some sort of idea of when a wedding will be. My I-129f was sent last thursday so all being well I should have my visa in hand by September/October and will move and get married before Christmas.

You can get married as soon as the state you live in legally allows you to. Some can do it the same day as a POE, some require other paperwork or documents to be presented before a marriage licence can be issued.

However, do NOT plan anything until a visa is in hand

Good luck

I got married on the 28th after flying in on the 21st - it would have been sooner but we didn't check the hours of the office where we needed to get our marraige license so we had to wait until after Christmas.

As canadian_wife says... as soon as local law allows. You can make tentative plans, but unless you're doing what we did - a wedding ceremony in the staff cantina presided over by a friend who happens to be the Chef and a Minister - you don't want to make anything concrete or put money down. These things can have unexpected delays.

All depends on the state, also remember the visa requires you to marry with 90 days of POE.

Depends on the state. In Vermont, immediately. You could get married in the jetway. Some states have a three day waiting period for a license to be valid.
