What does one wear to the interview itself? My fiance is coming with me. Is it smart office dress or more of a casual affair? Typical woman, wondering what to wear

The video is geared to student visas but it's exactly what you'll be doing too except you won't have the same type questions asked. The interviewer will only see your top half. LOL. Also notice the size of bags and backpacks that go through the door.

Quick question about the Operator Assisted Line for paying the visa fee. What mobile (cell) phone providers do not have access to the 09042-450-100 number? I'm on O2 and can't get through to pay.

Also is it possible for Jess (USC) to phone from the States to pay for the visa?

Im on vodafone and it wouldnt let me call it either. I had to use my landline.

Thanks xjoseyx, after two attempts I figured that most mobile carriers cannot connect because its a premium rate number. This house doesn't have a landline so when I'm seeing the folks at the weekend I'll abuse their phone and leave them the cash for it.

£1.23/min so make sure you leave them lots of money lol. Jess can pay from the US but the person whose credit/debit card you are using to pay has to either make the phonecall or be in the room with you when you cal.

1-86638-23589 this is the number you call from the US and it has a flat fee of $16 which is deducted from your credit/debit card.

Quick question about the tax returns. I have my I134 filled out by my fiances Dad with his 2010 w2 and 1040. The dad is thinking that as theyre currently doing their tax return for 2011, should he now be filling out an I134 with 2011s taxes instead? The embassy wants the most up to date information. My fiance is arriving Monday for my interview Thursday and can bring the new affidavit of support with him.

There is nothing on the actual I-134 form itself taken from the tax return so it doesn't need to be changed. Meaning, they ask what is your current income, not what is your income as reported on your latest tax return. What's on the tax return does not have to match what he says his income is on Form I-134. As long as he proves over the threshhold with something (tax return, pay slips, employer letter) then you're good to go.

As for as using a tax return for proof of enough income, the latest tax return is all that needs to be shown (not 3 years). Your FIL's latest is 2010 because he hasn't finished his 2011. He has until April 17 to do so. If your interview was after that, then 2011 would be considered the latest. By the time he does the I-864 for your AOS, then he will put down numbers from three years of tax returns and 2011 will be his latest and must be sent in. The other two are optional to be submitted..

The visa fee for K-1 visas will decrease to $240!

Per, the Embassy website, the medical exam fee is going up starting April 1. It will be £227.

After some hooha with my doctors, Knightbridge finally sent my results over to the Embassy on Friday. Being impatient, I just called to see if Id been allocated an interview date. They said my medical results havent been entered as being recieved yet. Is that normal? I thought London had a live log of things theyve recieved. Im too impatient for my own good lol.

I saw that too, but didn't they make a mess of that page?

And once again the K1 is left out. They don't mention the K1 fee is $240. Seems like they could have just copied the DOS page instead of rambling about.
