Added it next to the link to the China EP wiki!

It's specific to EP cases in CHINA, not other countries.

Yeah, I was just saying I don't think it belongs in a general FAQ referring to EP in general.

Ahhhhhhhhhhh NVC can you please finish loading my case so I can stop seeing the "This case is in the process of termination. Fee payments and online forms can no longer be accepted. If you believe you have received this message in error, or to resume processing of the case, please contact the NVC immediately." message when I login. It would greatly be appreciated because I know you'd love to have my money so then lets goooo!!! LOL! :bonk::lol:

Yeah, that's why I put it next to the China EP link in the first post. Didn't want to confuse people by putting it in the FAQ section.

Me and my husband is also February 2012 Filer. I hope everything goes well.

I was just thinking about filing the I-129F after receiving the Receipt Notice from USCIS but since I read from somewhere that filing the I-129F after I-130 is not really important and does not really matter and that CR1 is the most advisable visa type for me, I am not gonna file the I-129F anymore.

Glad I found this website!!!

Gotta be careful with that, though, because opting in prior to billing didn't affect our case negatively at all.

True, it could be limited to just GUZ cases. Though, the worse thing is that a person might lose a day or three that they might not otherwise lose.

Trips:

Jan2010 - First Trip, met in person

Jul2010 - Trip two!

Nov2010 - Trip Three, Got engaged :)

Feb2011 - Trip Four. Spring Festival, Lucky Money all around :D

April2011 - Trip Five... Going to the chapel...

July2011 - Trip Six... Honeymoon in Xiamen :D

October2011 - Trip Seven... Beijing and the Great Wall :)

January2012 - Trip Eight... Chinese New Years and Spring Festival! More Lucky Money! :D

April2012 - Trip Nine... Interview?

Paper work for CR1:

28 July 2011 - 20January 2012 - Day 175... USCIS at CSC finally processed our paper work.

30January2012 - NVC 'received' the paperwork

6February2012 - NVC GUZ case number assigned - Attempted to OPTIN to EP.

7February2012 - NVC GZO (EP) case number assigned

8February2012 - 27February Massive delay caused by sending the EP OPTIN email too soon :(

28February2012 - AOS Fee Paid

29February2012 - AOS Fee shows paid, AOS Package sent in

5March2012 - IV Fee shows paid (paid on 3March), IV (DS-230) Package sent in

6March2012 - AOS Rejected due to minor error, corrected version emailed in

8March2012 - Email received indicating AOS correction and DS-230 review in process

9March2012 - Case Complete Email - END NVC PROCESS

15March2012 - Interview Scheduled: 18April2012 (Document turn-in: 17April2012)

I'm just confused as to why it would hurt GUZ cases and not other consulates, since they should be receiving all the same treatment by NVC until interview assignment, right? Weird.

Nostradamus :alien: .

Although you might be correct, I really talked to someone at 8 am ET and she told me that she can answer only general questions but she can't access her terminal. I think it was Foobaz123 fault, cuz he sent like a giant PDF file yesterday and that might weigh and jammed all circuits.... too many bytes traffic. :pop:

It was not! It was not!

Hey Saylin, here i will post what's going on so far with my process...

Whe sent a email to the NVC asking about our Police certificate they said is not in the IV package and NVC answer:

Dear Sir/Madam:

Your inquiry has been received at the National Visa Center (NVC).

Please be advised the NVC rereviewed all documentation in the file and determined that the only document submitted was correspondence stating that the State Police Certificate was unobtainable. The NVC does not have any correspondence relating to the required Brazil Federal Police Certificate.

And my husband answer:

To Whom It May Concern:

Am I to understand that the Federal Police Certificate from Brazil has been misplaced? Please re-review our package. This particular certificate was submitted in four different copies, original and photocopy, and translation and photocopy. Each of the four copies had our case number at the top right hand corner of every page as required. Translations were inside a Polyglott Translation Services folder. If NVC has indeed misplaced our Federal Police Certificate, should we re-submitt an additional four copies with translation included? I have attached the scanned copies of the Federal Police Certificate including the Spanish Police Certificate that we previously submitted. Should you have additional question please feel free to contact me via cell phone. Thank you for your attention on this matter.

What do you think about my case Saylin... i am so tired about it all! How they can lost 4 pages of documentation...¿? I really don't understand it.. we paid 150 euros for translation and now, we will need to pay it again... we are spendind alot money ... :help:

Well, unlike other counties, for China EP cases, they get assigned a new, SECOND case number. There might lie the problem.

Wait until they respond to that email to see what they say. Have you contacted a supervisor yet?

That must be it! Makes total sense (not that it necessarily makes sense to give them another case number, but that makes sense as an explanation of the slowdown).
