I just realized that my husband never received anything for a biometrics appointment. We filed his I-130 and I- 485 in September 2011 and all we've received is noa1. Should I call uscis? Also, he went for finger printing and such for his work authorization in January 2011. Could that be why he didn't need one again, cause he's already in the system or something? Or do you have to have it taken again after filing?

HUSBAND'S CASE

9/17/2011 - sent I-13

09/19/2011 - noa1 received

3/16/2012 - case sent to my local USCIS office for additional processing

4/21/2012 - AP. If we haven't heard from them in SIX MONTHS (omg) we can feel free to call them!!! Thanks!

9/20/2012 - Interview scheduled - October 3!!!!

10/3/2012 - Interview went well but she must look at his A-file more before decision.

10/12/2012 - I-130 APPROVED! APPROVED! APPROVED!

04/20/2012: NOA107/20/2012: instead of an approval, we got thrown into AP. sigh

Your husband's supposed to get one so I would suggest you call USCIS about it.

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.

Fingerprinting for the EAD is biometrics. Or should be, at least - how did he know to go for that if he didn't get a biometrics appointment letter?

What's the "finger printing and such" if not biometrics?

I was saying that he had that done for a workers permit. 9 months BEFORE we filed his I-130 and I-485. Wasn't sure if they didn't send him for biometrics because he just got them done before we filed or if they just over looked it.

He had working authorization that expired. He was trying to get it renewed. They told him to go get his fingerprints and pictures taken. This was in January 2011. We got married May 2011. Filed his papers September 2011. The earlier fingerprinting was not because of the papers we just filed, he was just trying to get his working authorization renewed at the time.
