Travlnmann,

I just found out that after a careful examination of my case the US Consulate in Moscow has approved my case and issued a visa to my fiancee Victoria. I guess they needed to be certain about my case. I am so happy. Now I can start preparing for my fiancee Victoria's arrival in a couple of weeks. Thanks to everyone in this forum for their great feedback.

Phew! I called the embassy on the 30th and made an inquiry. They told me to call back the next day to get my answer.

I called back and they said final approval was confirmed and that the visa would be sent to DHL for delivery. My wife called DHL and we picked it up at their office at 6:30pm on the 31st. We caught our flight out on the 1st and we're home in Texas today!

Thanks to all for your support and good wishes.

Heelo Jim! My wife is from Chuvash republic, off the Volga River, And we have been married since 9/24/05. We also live in Detroit. Glad your girl is almost here and show her around allthe great places of Detroit!

Tm33398

Wish you and Galina a quick and easy interview time! Tanja will be in Moscow the week after I believe. Our interview is the 25th.

Just looking to see if anyone has had a recent interview in Moscow. I know there are a few coming up, October will be a good month for some VJ'ers, but I would definitely like to hear about someone elses results. We tend to always hear about the bad things. Just looking for some things on how the interview was. The last Moscow review was from June or July I think.

Jim

Thanks, Jim!

From Moscow to New York was pretty good. The little angel was quite fidgety, but we did okay.

The Delta flight from JFK to Austin (DL6475) was horrible. The flight attendants were rude and abrasive and spilled juice on Natalia. I filed a verbal complaint with the captain and a company rep at the airport, and they gave me addresses and phone numbers to further file my complaint. They've already received other complaints about one of the attendants. I know it probably won't do much good, but I had to let them know what I thought.

But back to nice thoughts... We're home!

:Michael

Welcome home, Michael and Natalia.
Thanks! It's great to be home with the family. Natalia said she loves Austin so far. We still have a lot more to see, and I'm sure she's going to love it even more.

Yeah... We should've pushed the flights to a later date  , but I was out of vacation time at work, and I wanted at least a few days at home with the family, to help ease them into their new lives, before I run off to work.

I think I can get the boss to approve some 4-hour work days next week as well. Maybe work only afternoons so I can be with the family in the mornings and evenings, and work during rush hour traffic times.

Chuckles,

Thank you for the congratulationary remarks. I was pleasantly surprised yesterday to find out that Victoria received her visa yesterday. She mentioned to me when I talk to her yesterday that a friend of hers had to wait one month for her visa to arrive. The two of us were very fortunate.

Travlnmann,

Thank you for the good luck remark. I was just a little concerned for a moment. All is well. She wants to fly Lufthansa and fly St Petersburg-Frankfurt-Los Angeles. Do RUssian citizens who are in transit need some type of visa to enter Germany? I don't want her to be delayed in customs while she is transit to Los Angeles.

Your fiancee shouldn't have a problem transiting through Frankfurt. I've flown through Frankfurt many times and have noticed that it's very easy to move from terminal to terminal without having to pass through customs.

I don't think it's possible for his fiancee to pass through immigration in Germany unless she has a Schengen visa or a transit visa.

But unless she has a long layover and wants to stay in a hotel, there's no reason for her to pass through customs. She can get to her connecting flight anywhere in Frankfurt Int. by using the air trains on the top level. The trains and gates in all three terminals are behind customs. She can't exit the airport but she can get to her connecting flight without having to show anything more than her tickets/boarding pass.
