Hey everybody! Been superrrrrrrrrr crazy busy lately but I have been reading every couple of days! We arrived in the US on the 23rd and have been trying to adjust to life here, the cold, living with my parents for the time being, etc. We will probably get married in November but no date yet. Working on that! I feel like we have barely had time to sleep with all of the running around and visiting, etc. He enjoyed Halloween immensely last night and we laughed a lot as he freaked some people out while we were driving and he was wearing a Scream mask! You can't wear masks in Honduras...people think you are there to rob them...so it was quite a new experience to be able to go to the mall with a mask on! LOL. Will try to stay connected here and let y'all know when we have any exciting news like marriage or our own place, etc.!!! Blessings to everyone on their next steps!!

THIS IS AWESOME. I can still wear a T-Shirt in November!

*cough*

Ahaha! Quite shocked uh? oh, I wish I could wear a t-shirt only but I better cover up if I don't want to catch pneumonia!! Still, tho, compared to the UK, house/flats are much warmer so yes, I do get to stay in a t-shirt almost all day long if I'm inside!!

A little update from me: applied for SSN today, all done, should receive it in a couple of wks! And yeah, a little note you might be aware of, you have to tick "allowed to work" on the application.

Leaving on Tuesday for California and wedding is next Saturday!!!

Today got a nice phone call as well, when we are back I'm gonna start as a volunteer for the local National Museum :) yey!

Congrats to all the new updates from my fellow january filers!

Congrats Katchoo!

We're not married yet. We picked up the license last week with no problems (he signed an affidavit stating he couldn't get his SS card yet) and we'll be getting married 2 weeks from now. I was sick with bronchitis/sinusitis all last week, which put me behind in the wedding planning, but now I'm back on track. We'll be doing AOS in December hopefully.

We tried to get Javi's SS Card today but they couldn't find him in the system :( Sucks... so the lady said that immigration has 30 days to contact her and if they do, the application will go through. If not, it will be denied.

I had a super frustrating day today though: had an interview that I'm pretty sure I bombed (super tough, difficult questions), couldn't change my name at the bank because I don't have a driver's license with my current address (just moved), can't change my address at the DMV because I don't have bills or a bank statement with the current address, ahhhhhh a super annoying loop de loop.... I even started crying LOL I want to restart this dumb day!

Kate, everyday brings a new day and new hope. Chin up girl!! Things will get better :)

I had a meeting with the school principal this morning and it looks like we are all clear to Move May 1, 2013. Won't be a problem to pull them out of school early so we can move and get settled in Texas before the beginning of the new school year.

So May 1st it is!! Just got to get through the medical and interview in January... Piece of cake, ya!! :P:D
