the visa is valid for 6 months and run along side with the medicals. And so for instance, if you started your medicals a month ago before your interview and the date for collection of visa is also a month out, it will mean that your visa will only be valid for 4 months and which before that is up, you will have to leave the country. And so, when your visa expires is when your medicals also expires in Ghana. You will have to do a new medicals when there is a delay and for that matter the old medicals expires.

VJ...

How long can I stay in my country after my CR1 visa was approved...???CR1 is valide for...???

The expiration date is printed on the visa, while it's typically valid from 6 months after it is issued, that is not always the case so check the expiration date carefully and do not assume 6 months.

What happen if i couldnt leave before the medical expire..??what should I do then???

The visa will not be valid beyond the validity of the medical exam results. Again, check the expiration date on the visa and use the visa before it expires.

The visa has an expiration date on it. The expiration date is usually six months or when the medical expires; whichever is first.

If you do not use the visa before the expiration date, the visa becomes invalid. You will need to pay to get it reissue with another date. If the medical has expired, you will need to get another one.

If you cant leave but have a valid reason you can inform the embassy and they might give you extension.

Valid reasons can be "health problems, health problem of relative that you cant leave them.. etc"

Maybe you mean you cant leave before the visa expire, you will not have the visa until you are done with the Medical.

Just to clarify the medical exam. My husbands physical will expire on 4/28/2012. We are going through the NOIR process right now. We received our NOIR letter that was dated January 6, 2012 on January 12, 2012. USCIS gave me 30 days to send it back to them. My deadline to get it to them is Feb. 5, 2012. USCIS stated that they will make a decision within 60 days after they receive the NOIR information back. I am sending the paperwork next Monday 1/23 which I am overnighting so they should receive it by 1/24. Therefore we should know something by 3/24 if the 60 day guideline is followed. If he receives his Visa shortly after this 60 day period then he would have to be gone by 4/28 or have to have a nother physical done? Someone please help me with this to make sure I do this correctly. It will be 15 months since our petition was filed. I really don't want anything to happen where he has to have another physical.
