Hello well my fiance has tried numerous times to call the embassy in Peru, to find out about our fiance visa and when they will send it and when the interview is. Because we know the NVC has sent the pkt on 6 January and she was calling to find out information but they always always put her on hold and she is on the line for an hour or more and noone answers the phone and this happens every time. If anyone can give me information on how and when this pkt will be sent and how long this process is. We are so very eager and anxious to get this started but she cannot get a hold of the embassy on the phone and she even went to the embassy and they said they cant give her any information. Pleaseeeeee help..thank you

Moved from K-1 process to Regional forum as this is a question specifically about the embassy in Peru and its process. Not about the K-1 process.

Looking at recent Lima timelines, it seems like people may be receiving their interview packets in the mail about 3 weeks after the consulate receives everything from NVC. I don't think it's time to freak out yet. In the meantime, have your fiancee do everything except the medical.

Have the USCitizen Petitioner inquire via the DoS Hotline

for specific casefile status:

Dodi's posted how to call and whom - further down I've posted what you can get, the listed/named timeticks on this stuff, and from which office.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Can you go to the Embassy's window hours? I'm not sure where in Peru you are but it's fairly easy to get to in Lima. They'll just give you the packet there. I know because my husband's never came and he had to go pick one up.
