Hi there,

We're in the midst of getting our I-129F package ready for mailing next week, but there's one uncertainty:

The G-325A form asks for "Applicant's last address outside the United States of more than 1 year.". Do I, as the beneficiary have to fill that part out?

Also, does this mean the last place I lived in for over a year? For example I've been where I currently live for six months this month. I was at the last place for three years. Do I put the last place, or the current place despite having been there for six months?

Any help/tips would be appreciated!

Thanks! :)

This is asking for an address that the person filling out the form may have lived outside of the US for a year or more. For example, if I lived in Brazil for 1 1/2 years at any point in my life.

There is already a portion for you to fill out your residence for the last 5 years.

I filled out that part as well, but my fiancé was saying that I need to fill that one bit out as well. I wouldn't think so, since I've lived outside the US my entire life, but he seems to think so.

Is there penalty for putting in the last place I lived for over a year if it is not necessary?

My husband listed N/A since he had never lived anywhere other than in his country. And in the section where it asks for the last 5 years addresses, he listed anywhere he's lived, there.

I think this question is related to people who live in the US and are applying for a visa, but have resided outside of the US at some point. They want info on that. But if you have always lived in Canada and never in the states, you should only be listing your last 5 years worth and leaving the other section blank.

I have a similar question. My fiance (beneficiary) lives in Japan. During college, she lived in England for one year for school and then back to Japan. I already sent in my I-129F listing as such. I assume she would need to attain the police records from England also since she lived there for a year and it was listed on the I-129F. Is this correct?

Thanks in advance...

I am not positive, but I think that, since she lived there for more than 6 months, she will need to obtain a PC from England also. But first, did she list on the G325A that she had lived in England before?

Follow the example form: http://www.visajourney.com/examples/INS-Form-G-325A.pdf

If you have been at your last residence for more than a year, then list it there as well. It doesn't matter if you already listed it in the residence for the last 5 years section. Whichever address was the last one you lived at for a year or more.

This is exceedingly simple. List the LAST PLACE you lived outside the USA for more than one year in this space. ALSO list it in the 5 year history. No penalties for filling out the form completely.

If that is the address before the one you lived now, then list that.

I just looked at my photocopy of our petition, and my fiance did exactly this.

... ...

OP: It may seem redundant, I know. But, it's a form used for both the petitioner and the beneficiary. Better safe to be thorough even if it is redundant, than to get held back with a possible RFE.
