So upset got off the phone with nvc and they advised to me that due to the limited capacity at santo domingo embassy they were unable to schedule and interview for feb so they told me to call back second week off Feb to see if we can be scheduled for March this is so stressful for me because i am due to give birth in March and now i wont be able to attend the interview if he is scheduled for March which means he will have to go by himself, leaving everything at this point in GOD hands will update when we are scheduled and the outcome. By the way my case closed on Jan 4, 2012....

In February they have all of those week long semana santa celebrations, thus closing down the embassy for some time and limiting interview dates. You have to find a way to go to that interview. It will be a slim chance of an approval without you there. They clearly state, in bold, on the interview letter, that the Petitioner Is Strongly Advised to Attend. Also, let me share this info with you: Last week my husband had to drop off some papers to the embassy. Only drop papers off. he's been approved. They asked where I was right away. He had to explain the entire story to them. If I were you I'd do whatever it took to go...even if it were to go the day before and leave the same day in order to get back to work.

Since you do not know exactly when you will give birth, nor do you know when they will reschedule, would it be easier to ask them to reschedule in April? then you can go and be with him with no stress. I know it means an additional month of waiting, but in the long run it may be even better. Bring the baby with you !

This is a good idea. I think that just for the fact of the term of pregnancy, they will almost easily r/s....although they can be impossible at times.

If my memory serves me right, you can request an open cita. Or he will be given an open cita when he goes without you (something like that). I have seen cases where they allow this open cita, which is then to go on another day due to events like pregnancy. Try your best to make it, but DO NOT go nuts if you cannot. Giving birth is not something to be taken lightly. Do your research NOW, so you will not have to jump through hoops at the very last minute.

Also, keep in mind you will more than likely need documention from your doctor for all of this. Do not sleep, get moving! I do not know exactly who you would contact about this, but I would start with NVC, then embassy.

I don't think the airlines will allow you to travel if you are pregnancy is so close. If I was you I will tell the Dr. to write a note stating your condition.
