Greetings everyone,

I have been spending several hours reading through the forums, especially regarding experiences in Morocco. Due to Morocco being a high fraud consulate, and knowing beforehand that we will have challenges,

I am wanting to seek some advice on how to acknowledge and/or address any potential red flags prior to the interview. Background: My husband originally came on a k1 visa in 2008 from Morocco, and intended to marry his original petitioner, but as many can attest, living with someone that one meets on the internet can change things. He reported that they were totally incompatible, thus decided hold off on marrying, which ulitmatley led his ex breaking off the engagement. This devasted him, but thank God for me! lol So, I am aware this will be a reg flag. In addition, I have read proving a relationship as bonafide in Morocco has become increasingly difficult. So I want to add additional evidence of our relationship post the approved I 130 peition when we enter processing at NVC. This site has been extremely helpful in how to prepare as best as we can, but also has proved to cause immense anxiety as well. :/ Any suggestions and/or input would be greatly appreciated.

Additional Information

We met in 2008, and married June 2010. We have a son together as well.

You are currently living in Morocco?

That would help a lot.

Did he return to Morocco when his temporary fiance visa expired at 90 days?

If he is still here, he will have problems. He will get a ban for overstaying

May 24, 2011 NOA1

Sept 11, 2011 NOA2-took 19 days to get case number

Sept 30, 2011 NVC number and IIN received Friday-gotta wait till Monday

Oct 13, 2011 Case Completed- 13 days from receiving case number Took 32 days from NOA2

Nov 30, 2011 Notified of Interview date

January 19, 2012 Interview- 240 days from NOA1

INTERVIEW RESULTS-APPROVED WITH 14 WEEKS AP--but he got his visa in 56 days!!!!!!

PLEASE EDIT YOUR TIMELINE IN YOUR PROFILE SO OTHERS CAN LEARN HOW LONG EACH STEP TAKES IN THIS PROCESS

I looked at the other posts, he is still here so will have a 10 year ban to deal with. So he will be gone for a few years.

She said he will be leaving soon....

Yes, he was granted with VD from an IJ due to the overstay. So, we already preparing for waiver. I am discussing what to present before the initial interview, as proving a relationship is bona-fide is difficult enough. So, should be write a brief acknowleding the red flags to submit to NVC? or just front load evidence of our relationship?

The Lawyers I have seen comment, and the posts here I have read said that living together is the biggest plus.

Has your Lawyer commented?

I am sorry, but I am not really sure what you mean. Commented here? I do not think so

or in general?

She definitely said that proving our relationship is bona-fide should not be an issue. However, she also said that experiences with Morocco consulate will prove to be challenging as well.

Sorry what is VD and IJ? I agree with Boiler your commitment is not likely doubted but getting passed the overstay is the obstacle. Prepare for the outcome with or without a visa approval. If he front loads acknowledgement of the red flags I don't think will make a difference they will already know. They would have already seen the waiver and the background on his previous case.

Thanks, I thought so as well. Just want to prepare for either outsome as best as I can.

July 30, 2011: Received NOA2 hardcopy in mail
August 8, 2011: NVC received file
September 1, 2011: NVC case number assigned
September 2, 2011: AOS invoice received, OPTIN email for EP sent
September 7, 2011: Paid AOS bill (payment portal showed PAID on September 9, 2011)
September 8, 2011: OPTIN email accepted, GZO number assigned
September 10, 2011: Emailed AOS package
September 12, 2011: IV bill invoiced
September 13, 2011: Paid IV bill (payment portal showed PAID on September 14, 2011)
September 14, 2011: Emailed IV package
October 3, 2011: Emailed checklist response (checklist generated due to typo on Form DS-230)
October 6, 2011: Case complete at NVC
November 10, 2011: Interview - APPROVED!!!
December 7, 2011: POE - Sea-Tac Airport

September 23, 2013: Received NOA1 in mail (receipt date September 19th)

October 16, 2013: Biometrics Appointment

January 28, 2014: Production of new Green Card ordered

February 3, 2014: New Green Card received; done with USCIS until fall of 2023*

December 18, 2023:  Filed I-90 to renew Green Card

December 21, 2023:  Production of new Green Card ordered - will be seeing USCIS again every 10 years for renewal
