The worst part is that we are all putting up with it. What happened to our democratic system to hold the federal government accountable for its actions?? We should all band up and take action with our State representatives. If they are unwilling to help us, the people, then what good are they?

Hey people, just wanted to come in and let you all know that I was finally approved! They approved our NOA2 on June 26!

I know I complained and moaned more than most people, but I can at least say that USCIS approved my application in the promised five month processing time.

I wish the best for all of you, and keep up the hope!

My NOA1 is of 18th Jan 2012, I am still waiting... I put a out of processing time request on 2nd July and got an automated reply on 5th July that i will recieve a response within next 60 days (which i dont think is accurate as this was a generic response that they give to everyone). VSC is taking ages to finish the task that they are suppose to do within 5 months. I am really very upset. :(

You should also contact your local senator to give a push to your case.

I wanted to know that do u think contacting a congressman or senator would help? I have read many posts that it was not helpful and many said that they recieved approval in couple of days after they contacted congressman. Please suggest, guide and help. I am very restless now!!

I didn't had to contact senator in my wife's case because we were approved in normal time frame, but it was done by CSC not VSC. IMO, pushing VSC thru senator will make them at least look into your case if they have not started yet. Obviously if the case is going thru an extensive background check due to any red flags, then it won't expedite your case even thru Senator. But considering that your case do not have any red flags, contacting senator will help to get things done quickly.

Lol, they actually have people there? And helpful even? Who would have guessed..

Lucky you got Vermont.. Should save you a month or two at USCIS stage. My wife lives in California, but we're just hoping that somehow, they forward her petition to Vermont. California Service Center seems to have a big black hole in the backyard that they camp around and throw petitions into.

What is the "packet 3?'

I'm still waiting for my I-130 case in CAC - NOA1 received in Jan 6 2012 but no news since.

It's frustrating to see similar timelines taking half the time to get finished.

Any advice?
