Hello,

Jenni received an appointment letter for her AOS which is set for Jan 25. There is a checklist of things to bring to the interview. One of the things they mention is the i-693 which of course k-1's don't need to submit if their medical is less than a year old. The medical stuff should be in the sealed package handed over at the border and since we didn't get an RFE saying it was missing do we assume they have it? Is there any way to check?

Jenni has the immunization worksheet from her medical and will bring that, but do we really need to now go find a CS to transcribe it to a i-693? What have others done in this situation?

Thanks!

It's a universal letter. If they haven't RFE'd they likely don't need it but you can still be RFE'd for it at the interview. Unlikely but it happens.

if you have DS-3025 and completed, then you just need to take that to your interview.

Nich-Nick has briefly explained this in following thread.

It seems the best thing to do is have all the (required) immunizations done during the initial medical and to get that wonderful DS-3025. Would save some time and bucks.

Perfect!!!

Jenni has her DS-3025 so that's what we will take to the interview along with the I-693 instructions to show that we don't need it with a properly filled out DS-3025.

Thanks everyone!

You are welcome.

Btw what did you submit with your AOS application?

nothing for medical. Our lawyer swore up and down that all they need for the medical is what is already in the sealed packet so he didn't send the DS-3025 even though I suggested to.

And yes I know now that I didn't need a lawyer, but Jenni and I felt things may go smoother having one. We didn't know about VJ when we hired him.
