Am I the only one who hasn't received FP letter yet??? I know I have read that some people doesn't get FP if they have theirs taken within a year of applying for N-400.... if so... I wish USCIS would refund me for the $80 for BIOMETRICS.... lol only in my dreams right!?

Once you are scheduled the message does change. It tells you your interview has been scheduled and that you will receive your letter in the mail soon. Call if you don't get it in 14 days (I think).

AAH, good to know. So at least I know that we aren't even scheduled yet.

Hi Serenity and Calibound.... are you guys eligible already? My eligibility date is March 29th (although we're allowed to mail in applications 90 days before, which is why I mailed it in already) SOOOO... maybe thats why they havent put me in line for scheduling yet??

Yes, my husband was here 3 years as an LPR as of October of last year. We were in no rush to apply for citizenship, then a work opportunity became available and here we are :)

I know from reading others' experiences with the San Francisco office that some have had their interview before they were eligible, but then just had to wait on being scheduled for the oath ceremony.... looks like they are in no hurry to schedule interviews so it shouldn't be an issue for you by the time you get the interview - even if you received a notice tomorrow, the letters appear to go out about a month before the interview, then if all goes well the oath ceremony (SF USCIS office) is about 3 weeks later. So we are probably looking at May.

I hope they put you in the line soon!! All I can think of is that for some insane reason the fingerprints were delayed since you did them elsewhere? Doesn't really make sense, though. I mean we didn't do our fingerprints *in* San Francisco either. Like you said before, it should all feed into the same database.

I just received an e-mail that I am in line for interview scheduling...how long did everyone wait until they received the actual letter?

In my case it was 6 days between receiving "in line for interview scheduling" and "now scheduled for interview" emails. And 5 days after "now scheduled for interview" email the actual interview letter came in mail.

Hi Everyone:

I'm new posting on this website however I've been following the comments and timelines since I starter my immigration process. My best wishes for all that are still waiting. Can please somebody add me? My timeline is in my signature.. I sent my package to Nebraska and my local office is Newark, NJ. Also, fingerprinting was not required since I sent 2 fingerprint cards with my initial application.

While I was waiting a called the military line to follow up on my application and what they explain to me was that they didn't have my background and fingerprint results yet so for that reason they couldn't sent the package yet to the local office. I guess if somebody's history is long then the waiting process will also take long.

I'm currently overseas so I applied based on 319b and requested my inteview to be in Newark. I'm currently 5 months pregnant so I 2 weeks or a week ago I called to put an expedite request to my applicacion since it will be more dificult for me to fly with a big belly and my other two daughters and yesterday I got a missed call from USCIS... a call to my skype number. I called back but they just told me to wait for somebody to call me back.

I also have not seen anything on the biometrics for my wife and my guess is because it has only been about 12 months now since her last ones. I checked and her residency date is April 9th so I assume she will not be able to be interviewed prior to that date. (Is that the date listed as "EB" on some of the timelines below?) My only concern is we are planning a possible trip back to Ukraine in May and I do not want to have any schedule conflicts with this process.

I also have not seen anything on the biometrics for my wife and my guess is because it has only been about 12 months now since her last ones. I checked and her residency date is April 9th so I assume she will not be able to be interviewed prior to that date. (Is that the date listed as "EB" on some of the timelines below?) My only concern is we are planning a possible trip back to Ukraine in May and I do not want to have any schedule conflicts with this process.

EB stands for Early Biometrics .... these are the people who walked-in a field office earlier than scheduled biometrics date in biometrics letter received from NBC.

I am with the same concern too .... I have a scheduled out of country visit on end of may. I guess my interview will be scheduled before that (my resident since date is March 20) and hopefully the oath too. The problem is on oath we need to turn in our green card and receive the naturalization certificate and use that to apply for passport. I am afraid I wont have enough time to 1. get the new passport, 2. get new visa (or NVR-'No Visa Required' stamp on the passport from embassy) before my vacation on may.

why wouldn't you just get a visa as a backup plan so that you can travel regardless of the timing of the N-400?

why wouldn't you just get a visa as a backup plan so that you can travel regardless of the timing of the N-400?

I cannot get a visa now since that is my native country and hold passport from there. That passport only contains an expired us visa. I cannot use that for transit in UK and Dubai :( or apply for a pre-arranged dubai passport (need the PR card for transit or apply for dubai visa).

I may get other backup plans ... but none of them are as straight forward as get passport by early may (which is unlikely to happen from what it seems).

I haven't received anything beside receipt since 1/20. I think I won't have to go for FP as well.

My 3 year period ends this week so hope to see some changes on my case.

N-400

ahh..thanks for explaining EB. We will have no trouble traveling but hate to miss or delay any long-awaited appointments!

I got an email today from the IO... I guess because I'm overseas they do it via email. She wanted to set up the interview date, I replied telling her that if possible I wanted to do it for the last week of March. Tomorrow I'm going to see if there is any available flights to US and then I will email her again with some possible dates for the interview.
