I wouldn't think that that has much to do with it really. I don't think the visa lottery is even processed at the service center level. It seems like it's all automated through the visa lottery website (as that's the only way you can submit an entry) so I doubt that could be what is holding things up.

It is visa lottery time, but if I'm not mistaken, that would only cause delays at the consulates rather than the service centers. I think our petition was held up at the consulate because of the lottery visas, but I can't be sure.

I did that, I waited 60 days without jumping there case. During that time I watched them approved many others before me, a month after NOA1 or sooner. I've been there for 3 months now, it's getting a little outside what I perceive to be normal for VSC, sorry! that's how I feel.

They can no longer blame it on IMBRA, so I want to know what the problem is, that's all.

I'm not saying you don't have a right to worry or stress, or that you shouldn't be concerned, but it's been since the 26th that they said they'd looked into it and we're half an hour into the workday on the 28th. Again, sandwich, pee, and coffee time. Hang in there! It'll come soon.

We're all impatient here, we all want to be reuinited with our loved ones. That's just the way it goes...

As for the topic of the post, would even the consulate be dealing with this at this point? I mean, the actual lottery doesn't start accepting applications until October 4th. Even then, it's all automated on a website. I could imagine in the spring when the winners are chosen and the NVC and consulates have to deal with these new visas that it would be a problem. I can't imagine it really having an effect right now though.

Of course, I could be totally off-base on this, just my logic.
