You sign into your USCIS online account and check the "last updated" date, when that changes you classify that as a 'touch'

but don't put too much stock behind touches. Our conditions removal online status hasn't changed since 'petition received' and I've had my 10 year green card for 2 months.

Good luck

Hi guys, how do you know that document is touched ?

You need to create an account on uscis.gov, and then add your case number to "My portfolio". After that, when you go to "My portfolio" page, you will see your case number followed by a "last updated" field. When the date changes in that field, the case has been touched.

It might not mean anything, but in our case, several consecutive days of touching ended up in approval.

Hi guys, how do you know that document is touched ?

actually the date you see is your touched date because thats when they expected you received your NOA1 receipt. The date it was put in the mail is your initial date. Again, don't stress the touched date, plus its likely not gonna change until you get NOA2 in the mail.

Well, you can check this stuff, sure -

but - don't get stressed out about touches unless you've had 11 touches in a 72 hour period. That's an indication (IMO) that many different entities are looking at yer casefile, not solely the adjudicator assigned to review it.

Just saying.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
