They took my biometrics today. Going to Alexandria center in Va rather than Tampa was not a problem. No one was there and I had to wait long enough to fill out the form.

The longest part was the faff of getting the prints done. I was in and out really quick. They really enforced the no cell phone rule. I didn't take mine, but everyone got asked if they had theirs on them.

i reiterate, no one was there ahead of me (well, maybe 2 people) and I got taken right away. Most ungovernment like. It was almost pleasant.

We had a similarly good experience at the Alexandria ASC when we went there for AOS biometrics 2 years ago. Glad to hear it's still a pleasant experience. Maybe we can do a walk-in early biometrics like we did last time...

Improved USCIS Form G-325A (Biographic Information)

I did some analysis, and found some good news to comfort everyone while they wait on VSC. Based on the high number of applicants on VJ, I would like to assume that our numbers is a good representative sample of overall applicants for each month. VSC has never been super fast, but they sure have never been this slow or backed-up (they just started working on June applicants). What I noticed was that the months of March-April-May-June is the reason for this backlog (LONGER wait). During these months, VJ shows there were between 43 to 55 applicants per month to VSC.(try and extrapolate this to the thousands that are applying per month). For some reason, this number dropped significantly from the month of July 2011 till now. In fact, the month of October has only 15 applicants to VSC while December has 17 applicants. The average however from June 2011 to Jan 2012 seems somewhere around 25 applicants per month. THIS IS CLOSE TO HALF AS MANY AS THOSE THAT APPLIED in the months of March-April-May.

More evidence to my overall point::::: On the USCIS website, the time frame for I-751 has always been 6 months. However, when they started processing the applications of April applicants (2 months ago), for the first time in forever, they increased the time to 7.1 months. In fact, if you have been following the comments of members of VJ, those who were expecting to hear from USCIS and called them were told for a very long period of time that USCIS is still working on April 4th applications. This generic answer just changed to May 2nd applicants recently.

My final point is that, we have reason to smile. Once the June applicants are finished with, the process would go almost 2x fast than it has been going for these last 3 months. Hence, we probably wont have to wait for 8 months as many of the May 2011 and June 2011 applicants have to. We will however still have to wait for almost 6 months (or just a little less) as it has always been. Definitely a reason to smile. I will really love to get this done with before I start my last year of Pharmacy school.

Have a good weekend guys.......

danmarkx, based on the latest numbers available from USCIS, you're actually not too far off.

I-751 Processing at Vermont Service Center

Month & Year Receipts Completions

Mar11 14040 4701

Apr11 9741 5837

May11 10779 6190

Jun11 15124 6959

Jul11 9933 5408

Aug11 11379 7340

Sep11 8065 6361

Oct11 9913 4366

Nov11 7268 3972

As you inferred from the VJ numbers, March through June of 2011 saw pretty high numbers of new I-751 petitions received at VSC. September and November were significantly lower.

By the way, this data is available at http://dashboard.uscis.gov

Afternoon all,

Are we having fun yet, waiting?

So, I mailed out on the 19th and check cashed on the 24th. No NOA1, no case number, no biometrics letter. They won't give us any information until 30days from when we filed. Sigh...

After viewing the timeline for CSC, looks like folks who filed after us have already received the NOA1 and the biometrics.

We moved in November and we mailed AND did the AR-11 online but got no confirmation. Could this be the cause of the delay of not receiving the NOA/Biolmetrics letters. Could this be a cause of delay if they never received this information/updated our address?

Is there a cause to worry if we miss the biometrics appointment because we never received the letter?

I am so completely and utterly frustrated. I feel like we should have gotten something. Having to wait until the week of Feb 20th for any info is so frustrating!

Argh! I really hate this process.

Did you receive a letter "Notice of Requirement to file ROC" from DHS/USCIS before filing I-751?

We got the letter a week before filing I-751 with our old address on it. Apparently our mail got bounced back to DHS. DHS request USPS our new address then resend the mail with ROC notice and AR-11 reminder in it.

We moved to another state long ago but knew nothing about filing AR-11 and I-865(Sponsor's Change of Address).

Anyway, I filed AR-11 online, and my husband mailed in I-865 Sponsor's Notice of Change of Address. He got NOA for I-865 within a week.

There should be a confirmation page for AR-11 after you click the submit button.

He will be fine, if he speaks any English at all.

There is only 1 paper to fill out, with questions like: Name, A#, ASC#, phone #, adress...

It took me about 10 minutes to be done with biometrics (with fingerprints done twice).

Remind him to bring his ASC letter, green card and state ID/ drivers license (I only had my green card and ASC letter - no problem at all).

This is very helpful information. Thank you so much

We did get the "Notice of Requirement to File" with our old address. Huh....I never even thought to look at that before now.

It's weird since we physically sent the AR-11 AND did it online ( although I don't remember getting a confirmation for either).

I just called the USCIS which said they couldn't give us any personal information like address info. They said we need to get an Info-Pass appointment to verify the address they have on file for my husband since they can access information that the Call Center can't and also at that same time he could get the stamp in his passport for the year extention.

They also mentioned that after filing the AR-11 via U.S. mail, we should have received a confirmation in the mail showing the new address. I thought was strange since, so far, most folks here on VJ who filed with the physical AR-11 form never received a confirmation that I'm aware of unless done online.

I'll let everyone know how the appt goes. I think we'll schedule one for next week if there is openings.

Anyhow, again thank you so much for this. It helped set my mind at ease.....for now
