Well, I was checking the Ankara interview schedule in their webpage. I don't see my husband interview date #. Then, I decided to send them an email. This is their response.

"Our office has not received your husband’s file from the NVC, yet. As soon as NVC schedules an appointment date for your husband, they will send you your appointment letter and will transfer your husband's file to our office."

Immigrant Visa Unit.

But I received from NVC the interview date. It is this normal?

I guess it is normal. Based on your timeline, your interview date is March 30th, so NVC may take a while to send your file to your local Embassy. Just wait a while, and after that, check with NVC directly.

Call NVC or the AVR everyday and see when they sent your file to the embassy. But, they might not send it until 1 month before interview.

May 24, 2011 NOA1

Sept 11, 2011 NOA2-took 19 days to get case number

Sept 30, 2011 NVC number and IIN received Friday-gotta wait till Monday

Oct 13, 2011 Case Completed- 13 days from receiving case number Took 32 days from NOA2

Nov 30, 2011 Notified of Interview date

January 19, 2012 Interview- 240 days from NOA1

INTERVIEW RESULTS-APPROVED WITH 14 WEEKS AP--but he got his visa in 56 days!!!!!!

i was going to ask your interview date but now that I know its in March it can be normal for the delay. Just keep up with NVC making sure around mid January they do send it to the embassy

when was the appointment date set at NVC?

You should ask NVC WHEN they sent out the casefile to Ankara.

I am so happy it is January 30th. I thought it was March 30th and I did not understand either.

Last time I looked, ours was not there either. Ours is January 12th.

on what date did NVC set the appointment? Usually this will be 'the date' in the letter.

I'm curious, is calling the NVC everyday helpful? I am currently waiting for a visa appointment, but I don't want to mess up my process by trying to call them everyday. But if its helpful, then I should do it?

actually it doesn't do anything to your wait because you're just calling to check your status. I CALL EVERY DAY M-F FROM MAY UNTIL NOVEMBER WHEN I GOT MY INTERVIEW DATE.
