Hello everyone! The interview was a success! Thank you for all of your help and good information on this site!

Dec 7th, I arrived in Moscow and met my daughter. We then found our hotel. We then went to find the embassy. Later that day, we met with a friend who was having her interview on the same day.

December 8th, I arrived at about 7:20 at the embassy. I met my friend and there was already a line. We went through the security checks and went on our hall for the interview.

I could see the consular going through my papers. I told my friend that I was certain that she was looking at my documents. Soon after, my name was called. I was very nervous! The consular was very professional, nice and did what she could to calm me down. She asked the following questions:

1. What is his name?

2. Where and when did you meet?

3. How did you communicate?

4. How often do you talk?

5. How many children does he have?

6. How old are they?

7. Who do they live with?

8. How often does he see them?

9. Discribe your man. Why do you want this man?

10.How do his children treat you?

11.What does your daughter think of your relationship?

Next, she asked to see the pictures I brought. I presented a 20 page book I designed that my fiance had printed at Walmart. She started looking at the pictures and asked where they were taken and I replied they were from our 3rd trip to Turkey. She said "interesting." She looked at all the pictures in the book and said "very nice pictures." She asked if my fiance had been to Russia and I said no due to the propaganda on the official travel site. Then she asked about our wedding plans. I told her that we don't want a big ceremony and will have a family dinner and also that my man is a biker and she made a joke about riding the motorcycle in a wedding dress.

She said everything was in order except my fiances income. It was too low. He had changed jobs from being self employed to his current job. He had his co-sponsor papers from his sister and I told her to look again. She did and saw the papers were there and said "excuse me." Also, she said my police papers did not have my maiden name and it needs to be corrected. I told her that I had discovered their mistake earlier and that I have already applied for new papers. She told me congratulations and that I passed. She kept my passport and told me that visa will be issued after the police paper is corrected and submitted.

My friend was also approved. Overall, this was a very good experience!

We are very happy! Thank you and good luck with your journeys!
