I've checked processing times before and overtime it said 5 months average.

USCIS National Goal

USCIS National Average

Vermont Service Center

I was coming on the forum to ask is the processing time from when they receive the paper to when you get the visa in your hand or when they receive your package until you get your NOA2?

I logged onto the processing times now and it it saying the average is USCIS National Average - 12.8 Month(s)! Okay end of July 2011 they received my package so does this mean my average is still 5 months (thats what it was saying the past few months) or now am I suppose to be waiting until next July?

Oh no :(

It's so hard to tell what the avg processing times are but usually between 5-7 months... for the approval of the petition you sent to USCIS.. you still have to go thru NVC (for k1 visa's its only to obtain a case number and for CR1 to be completed for NVC and to assign your interview date)

Then you have to go to the interview and that all depends upon how soon the embassy/or NVC can get a date scheduled for you so your still looking at @8-12 months (more or less all depends on many variables)

I just checked and it says 5 months for Vermont Service center, that is the time you want to be concerned with if your petition is at Vermont.

No why would you say that I have been drinking? Thats a little nasty their are some people who are alcholics

.... I filed back in July, every month up until now the average was 5 now I'm on the last month of the 5 and its saying 12.8 months, does this still pertain to me so I need to now wait an additional 7.8 months or is this for people who just filed recently?

I've already received my receipt number

You wait until they send you the NOA2 approving the petition and moving it to NVC.. IF its a fiance visa then you will get a case number at NVC and they send to the embassy directly

Then you have an interview...

Yes I saw the Vermont Service center is 5 but the average is 12.8. This average must be important otherwise why have it listed at all?

i cant see where this 12.8 months is coming from but if you are on your 5th month already then your NOA2 should be very soon

The 12.8 is the time required when all the service center times are combined then averaged!

Duh I know that its the average: average is when you add all the numbers together and divide by how many items there were....

Texas does not process K-1 petitions. It would be either Vermont or California. The national average is most likely an average of ALL service centers for ALL types of petitions/applications.
