Is it possible to start/have a compilation in the guides for everything that people have been asked for in their Request For Evidence's so that people can use their waiting time to prepare for the possibility and have whatever is needed ready already? I am pretty sure that most of the time, these are similar requirements.

Perhaps this could be placed in the guides in the "Other Important Things to Know" category or in the wiki (http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/Request_for_Evidence ).

Some of the things they want are simple, but only take time and I was actually fearful that the petition might expire before I could get what they wanted versus send it incomplete.

As it is, I could only send 4 out of the 5 things because one did not exist. If I'd have known about it in the first place, we could have done it months ago and had it available. I could have especially had it easier if I could have gotten some things while I was there visiting that country!

So many of us are waiting and trying to be patient. Knowing what has been wanted in the past for this possibility and knowing what to do prepare for it could also help us to feel a little less helpless. (Even though there are those who are "experts" that advise to ignore the list and just do whatever worked for them, many of us like to try to follow the instructions to the letter.)

Please forgive if this has already been discussed. I looked, but there are too many hits on RFE to find much without being able to narrow the search.

Thanks.

Hi Em! I believe that is what this is for: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/4725-the-rfe-master-list/

We have a similar pinned topic in the CR-1 form. Great idea, but it might be best to just add your very useful info to the pinned topic.

I hope all goes smoothly from here on out!

An RFE can be issued for anything. Compiling a list would simply be a list of any document/affidavit/statement/item that could possibly be required.

Would not be very helpful as the circumstances for each case can be very different.

The best course of action is to read through the VJ Guides and appropriate visa class and regional forums to learn what other members with similar cases have submitted.

The problem with "reading through" is that the stickied lists are so cluttered up that it is very frustrating. All the "way to go!" and smilies and people copying a giant post to respond to one portion of it, make it difficult to read through. There is a ton of information on here and it might be handy to have one source that without any fluff.

Here are non-practical examples that are on one of these that are more than 5 years old:

<<<"This is a great thread">>>

<<<"I agree">>>

<<<Off the top of my head....how did you purchase the tickets? And what of any itinerary?>>> (What has this got to do with RFE's?)

I HAVE been reading the "Master RFE List" and honestly, it is absolutely discouraging with all the non-information in there.

Also, as I stated before, when searching, it would be nice to have an option to search in sections of the site instead of just the whole site. Any search for RFE leaves the reader inundated with gobs and gobs of choices that would take forever to get the information that is actually being searched out.

I understand that many RFE's are situation specific, but I am pretty sure that there are things that are routinely asked for. A list of that, perhaps organized by category of type of visa or cleaning up the "master lists" would make it much, much more user friendly.

Perhaps if there was an option to click while reading a thread that is enclycopedia-thick to not see signatures lines--I do enjoy them, but some are so long that it takes up a full page, especially with picture. Maybe a "printer friendly" option?

(Please accept my apologies if this post is disjointed--work iw weird today!)
