K1 visa interview

Hi there,

Is anyone here doesnt show up in their interview? Im scheduled on Dec 1st, but my papers are not complete yet, so i decided to cancel my appointment, but when im about to cancel it online, the page saying i cant cancel the appointment this time. Am not sure if its just because its a holiday, and no telephone operator to assist me as well. Will it be a problem if i didnt show up to my Dec 1st interview, and will try to resched it other date available. All ideas are welcome.

If you cannot make a firm contact to reschedule,and if most of your important papers are in order, I would go and see what happens. To just not show up, in my opinion, is not a good thing.

Oh really, one of the important paper are in that envelop. the I134

I would go to the appointment also, if there are necessary papers still needed they will give you a 221g and you can bring them when you get them, no waiting for second appointment. In the long run you will save time.

So lets say my gf showed at 6:15 and she got interview by the CO by 9:30. She gets a 221g. she picks up the mail at 1pm. can she go back there the next day w/o any appointment?

Here's another vote for going to the interview.

She won't need to go back to the Embassy. She can drop off the documents, her passport, and a copy of her 221g at any 2GO branch. 2GO will deliver them to the Embassy. Mission accomplished.

Then you guys can kick back and wait for the visa to be delivered.

If I were in your shoes, I would scan the I-134 and email it to her. I would do the same thing with your W-2, paycheck stubs, and employer's letter. That way, at least she has something to give to the pre-screener, and she will definitely get an interview with the consular officer.

If they don't notice the I-134 is a copy, then you are good to go. If they want the original, they'll simply issue her a 221g. Then she can send the original to them through 2GO.

she did. i just scanned my i134 and letter of employement and the CO accepted copies for that. CO needed police clearance from qatar for her tho.

Depends on the consulate. She will get instructions from them. DO NOT just skip the interview.
