Congrats!! That's great news, I'm so happy for you

Thank you very much, JP&BP  !

Me and my wife are wishing you guys same happy end on December 13th! You'll make it successfully!

:energy: YAYAYYAYAYAYYAYAYAY Congrats. (Now who's going to make fun of me  )

Allegra, thank you very much, my friend (F) ! Remember, you told me that we were twins on visa process? I'm 100% positive that Hadrien will get his visa approved and hear: "Welcome to the USA!".

(Now who's going to make fun of me  )

Don't worry. We'll be in touch .

Meanwhile, Allegra, relax, don't think too much about interview. Believe or not - me and my wife talked about interview only on interview's date just for less than 1 hour - I was preparing for work so didn't have much time to discuss about interview. The only thing we did thoroughly - I've explained in details what was in the folder that I shipped to Toronto.

Still don't have interview details from my wife - she's busy with her relatives: she's staying at her cousin aunt's house and you know what happens when 2 women meet :secret::rofl: .

Hopefully, either later today or tomorrow she'll tell me how everything was going at consulate.

I know for sure that none of supporting docs (including photos) was requested. The IO (nice young man) only asked for originals of docs which I've scanned and sent through e-mail (my wife was doing electronic processing), looked at them and returned back. Even didn't take copies of these originals. I bet, the reason probably was, that my scanned docs might have looked like originals: I work with computers, so scanning docs for me was sort of fun and I made these scanned copies look like originals.

He asked my wife couple questions on how me met, what type of visa my wife in the USA previously, when did I enter the USA as a Green card holder (not confuse with when I become US citizen ). It turned out, that the IO was working in the past at US consulate in Kyiv - capital of Ukraine (my wife and me both came from Ukraine). So, he perfectly knows Ukrainian and Russian (I wonder what language these guys used at interview - English, Ukrainian or Russian? Or mix?).

The IO was pretty nice, the interview has gone smoothly, he was going through the papers and talking to my wife like to good old friend.

This is in general. More details - later.

To Jon&Princess and JB&BP: Wish you guys, smooth and easy interviews !

I "THINK" I'm approved. Why "think"? Here's why:

CO said he can't confirm approval as of the moment

So, I just got home from my exhausting USEM interview today and I wanna share everyone what happened to me! Everything was going smoothly until I reached the American CO interviewer. At first, the CO and I were talking about me and my hubby's relationship, his employment, how was he able to go to the US and such (basic info's about him that I should know as his wife). What really bothered and confused me was when the CO started asking about my co-sponsors papers. Below is our conversation:

CO: Who is "the name of co-sponsor"?

Me: Says name of co-sponsor

CO: What is his relation to your petitioner?

Me: He is my hubby's uncle

CO: Does he have a wife?

Me: His wife passed away a year ago

CO: Does he have any kids?

Me: He has three

CO: How many are still living with him?

Me: One

CO: The co-sponsor didn't declare in his IRS that he has a son living with him. He stated that a parent and a sister was staying with him.

Me: (shocked inside coz the CO was focusing on my co-sponsor's papers, good thing I reviewed his documents) I believe his son pays for his own taxes

CO: Ohhh, how old is his son?

Me: 25 sir

CO: okay

And this time, I noticed him looking at my co-sponsor's I-864 form, shaking his head. I saw that on the household size part of the AOS, (which my co-sponsor totaled "02" : me and him, instead of "04" : me, him and his 2 declared dependents) the CO put "4" beside the "02" total and wrote something.

After that he told me that would be all, that's all the questions he needs to ask, and that I should take a seat and wait for my number to be called again for further instructions. I was waiting for him to tell me the magic words "CONGRATULATIONS YOUR VISA IS APPROVED AND WELCOME TO AMERICA" but no to avail. So I asked him, Sir, is my visa approved? He told me,"I CANNOT CONFIRM THAT AS OF THE MOMENT. WE HAVE EXPERIENCED SOME TECHNICALITIES but your papers looked good. Just wait for your number to be called again".

After hearing this, I felt devastated. All that's running in my mind during that time was that the CO was shaking his head while looking at my co-sponsors AOS form. Okay, it is true that he put a wrong total number of house hold size (putting "02" instead of "04"), but hey, his annual income ranges $38K per year. That would be enough for a house hold size of 6. And I was also thinking, was it my fault he put the wrong total number of house hold size? Can that simple mistake jeopardize everything we did? A lot of things were going through in my mind and I was literally shaking!

When my number was called again, I was crossing my fingers and toes hoping that I don't get a 221g form (btw, I saw during the Filipino pre-screener interview, a pink slip above my papers stamped with "APPROVED" word). Thank GOD! The guy at the last window told me that I can be with my prince this christmas. He also asked me if I'm still practicing my profession (I am a nurse). Then commented that I work in the US as a nurse coz I'll earn more that what I'll be earning here in PI. He later instructed me to drop my 2go form at a window for the visa delivery! I am approved right? What y'all think?

WELCOME CHICA! Are you ready or what?!?!?

Cipollina, if you're reading this, how did the interview go? Give us news!!!!

I'm starting to get all the documents ready and in folders today! It's so nerve-racking!!! I don't know whether to keep everything separated into USCIS and NVC or to split them up into smaller folders (there will be a glass that it has to pass through) for bonafide evidence, AOS supporting evidence, etc. Any suggestions?

Hello nica_chica3! Hmmm, I must say it'll be better if you're gonna separate them in small folders (also familiarize yourself with the location of each specific document). Based on my experience, the slot provided in the USEM in Manila, is only about an inch thick. My scrapbook can't go through so I was asked to flip the pages while the CO was lookin from the other side of the glass window. :bonk:
