Today my interview is exactely 2 weeks away. I am anxious and excited, and trying to keep thoughts of the worst case scenarios at bay... I'm way too good at picturing the worst even when there is no reason to :bonk:

I figured I could start this thread so that we could vent and share our waiting time :) How are you all doing?

I know I can't wait for all of this to be over. My biggest wish is to celebrate Christmas knowing I have my visa in hand and that I'll be celebrating New years in the States.

I have my fingers crossed for all the VJ members who have their interviews in December. Hopefully we'll all get good news!

I so agree with you! I want to be happy and excited, but I can't relax until I know I have the visa. The sane part of me is telling me everything will be fine, but I'm also coming up with new things that can go wrong all the time :bonk:

What are you bringing to the interview? I guess we need stamps and passport photos. I'm bringing some pictures and stuff and copies of the forms we've sent in, plus my husbands IRS transcripts and last paystub. Don't know what else I should bring....

Allegra, you guys, will make it without any issues, believe me . Don't get stressed too much over it :D.

Just "Turn off the light, take a deep breath and relax. Start move slowly, very slowly. Let the rhythm be your guide and light" (Enigma, 1991, "MCMXC a D Limited Edition").

I've just weighted the folder I'm sending with my wife's girl-friend (she'll be in Chicago this Friday, then flies back to Toronto on Sunday) and got shocked: it's gonna be around 5 pounds (or 2kgs in metric). I hope, she won't refuse taking it, if not - I'm looking towards emergency driving to Toronto.

Skype calls and pictures - all that makes folder so heavy. Though, I have no clue - wouldn't it be just waste of the paper and if they ever ask my wife for that ?

Nickky- you're the best. I'll be relaxed once your wife gets approved because we've practically been identical twins during this whole process - so if hers goes well, so will my husbands'. Lololol .

Thank you very much, Allegra, for nice words  ! Like I've mentioned long time ago - I was not really caring about NOA2 etc, the only thing kept my driving through the IR1 process was PCC's expiration date. Thank God, we've made it on December (I mean interview date), other than that - I would not really care. Even right now the upcoming interview doesn't make me really exciting - just one of those events in your life. Of course, I'll be with my wife on that day by thinking of her, but not to that point like walking back and forth, being impatient, sleepless night on the interview's date etc :D . I'd say, sometimes if you think less about certain events happening or to come, the chances for positive outcomes (or happy ending in other words) much higher.

Visa approved!!! wooo! was really simple. Didnt ask to see any evidence of relationship. Asked a few questions about where we met, wedding date, what he does for work, the temping thing came up- but i pointed out i have a cosponsor in case. Didnt even ask for the co sponsors birth certificate (which i had on me, since i forgot to send to NVC). Said everything looks fine, im going to aprove you!

My advise for london would be deffo get there really early between 7.30 and 8.30, earlier the better. You will be seen much quicker. I got there at 8.30 and there was a good few people already inside waiting. It took 2 and 1/2 hours for the whole process. But after I got there- the place filled up, where most seats were taken, i imagine it would of taken alot longer. Its frustrating because the immigrant visa numbers are only called every 10 minutes, non immigrant visas are called constanly!
