Well, here is a site for cakes:

http://online.cakesacrossamerica.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?

Just google "send cake" and many sites appear.

For what these cakes cost, you could bake it yourself and deliver it for less!!!

www.1800flowers.com

or www.hallmark.com

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.

It would probably be less expensive for flowers to find a local florist in her area and order from them. If you don't know any, if you go to www.superpages.com, you should be able to search for florists by location.

I'll allow you to send a test cake to me... ya know. To see wether it's worth it or not. :D

I agree with you pj..

Many times my siblings have sent my mother flowers via FTD or equivalent .. they are nice but all so generic..

I looked for florist in my parents area.. actually found a specialist of orchids.. called them . and they delivered..

Mom was sooo pleased...

Look in the superpages.. many times you can find a website. or the # to call.

If you explain the celebration.. I have found that going with the small local places actually offer some of the best deals.. Sometimes as well they might even know of a baker.. or florist depending on who you call..

If she lives in a small city.. she may become the talk of the town. hehehe.. ohhh .. wow.. her honey from so far.. ordered.. wow. so special.. .. ya never know she might just get the royal treatment..

best of luck.. ..

I always use flowerbud.com. They're pricey but ohhh so worth it for the wow factor. By far the best flowers by mail I've ever had. I would only use a local florist if I knew they were good. My experience of using them in the past has been less than satisfactory. Orchids are expensive but they last a looong time. I received some for my birthday and they lasted 7 weeks!!

Bakery stuff, I use zingermans.com. They're based in MI but will deliver anywhere and their stuff is top quality.
