Preparing for Interview-Phone records?

I am getting everything gathered for fiance's interview... Currently I'm working on the I-134 and supporting documents. I will be in jamaica Nov. 30th for a week and plan to carry down anything he will need for the interview (though I will be there at the time of the interview to bring whatever else.)

I have a prepaid phone and access to records seems to be the worst thing...Aparently I have to take a picture of each phone I want records pulled for (I've had two) and get the sim card in the picture, along with the dates for the records and detailed explanation of WHY I want access to my personal phone records... blaaaah... Each person on the phone with my prepaid company (Net10) tells me a little different of how to do it so I'm in doubt with the whole process. One customer rep on the phone said it takes a month to process the request and can only get one month of calls.

Currently as tangible proof of communication we have Skype calls/web chats from February to present day. The calls are long and sometimes all day long, day after day there's never a day without Skype calls. I also have proofs of Ezetop.com Mobile Top-up online (for fiance to call me international minutes) and there's online receipts of adding credit to my phone as well through Tel3.com. I can access my phone's Tel3 international credit call history by getting records online; however, it's only one or two minute phone calls due to me calling fiance and he just rings back. There's some days where Tel3 service is terrible and doesnt connect properly so my call history shows days where I call 5-10 times in a row to try and get through successfully... I'm paranoid that they'll see that like my fiance doesn't answer and when he does we talk for one minute only!! I'm getting overly paranoid now, guys...

Anyway he'll also have tons of pictures of us together and him meeting my family in August when they traveled to meet him. I have a few Western Union receipts, along with plane tickets and schedules etc.

So do I pursue the phone records (may not even be possible to access them for more than 30 days prior to today or may be not possible to access at all..) or do I continue on with what we have and skip the phone records?? Thanks in advance!

Perhaps I am mistaken, but I have never seen any place ever that says you need phone records outside of this forum. It is a popular topic, but I don't remember it in any of the official lists that I have and it is certainly not requested in my RFE.

Is this something that an official actually looks at or is this something that many people include for comfort in thinking that it is more proof or something else?

Phone records can be additional evidence of a bona fide relationship. At some consulates, the interviewee had sure better have them.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

I think the phone logs is very important.. It shows that ur really in contact with them which proves it's a real relationship. I debt 4 months worth of him calling me which was abt 100 Pgs.. They take all ur evidence before u actually do the interview so u believe they look over these things and make a partial decision and then ask questions., my fiancé was approved in 8 mins .. I think the logs & my many trips helped a whole lot!!!

to Eagle +Eyed,....

I hope to let you know soon, in the next few days or weeks,... that in fact, an I-129F can be obtained without a phone record.

I believe the preponderance of other evidence that I presented will be/was sufficient to allow the reviewers to make an appropriate decision, one that I'm hoping/looking for.

Look at it. Phone records in and of themselves prove nothing, other than how many times you dialed a number and how long you spoke. NOTHING ELSE.

Helpful? Sure.

Necessary? Not so sure.

My phone company only makes available the last 3 months records. What good is that? Some. Little?

So, I wouldn't freak out, just over that, if the rest of your case is or seems solid.

I HOPE TO LET YOU KNOW SOON.

SO, STAY TUNED!

________

p.s. I did this once before and included whatever scant phone records were available. No problems with the visa. But, I didn't think the phone records made or would have broken the case for the visa.

and, with that said, and that of a few other comments made above,....

.... I assure you, along with the other documents the beneficiary must present at the interview, I will ensure that she also has THE PAST THREE MONTHS' PHONE RECORDS.

_____________

Although in cases like yours, naijaboy, PERHAPS,... JUST PERHAPS....the reviewers just told her that, when in fact they had other reasons, that she could have confronted, but the perhaps did not want to. FACT IS,... SHE COULD NOT DISPUTE,... if there were no phone records.

See what I'm saying??

Interviewers are not computers. They are people. They work off of feelings, sometimes.

One day, ... this will all evolve and it will be done by computer, and there will be a whole new set of malcontents for a whole new set of reasons. Many of us who perhaps pass the people reviewers would not pass the computer reviewers and visa versa.

Crazy world we live in, these days.

Everyone else here, take heed. Also, if your calling-plans (petitioner's & beneficiary's) don't yield an itemized list of the exact phone numbers that were called, switch to one that does. The expense of doing so now may pale in comparison with the expense for damage-control later (221g or outright visa refusal).
