Actually Vermont is moving VERY fast recently. I got my NOA2 recently as well, in just a little over 4 weeks from NOA1. Congrats!!

Being prepared had nothing to do with it. Getting sent to VSC instead of the ultra-slow CSC had everything to do with it. Congrats.

If you're a USC currently living in the UK and you filed an I-130 it was either through the Chicago Lockbox or DCF. Or have you been living here for less than 6 months? I know that the Lockbox is supposed to be super fast.

I live here as a resident, that way we could be together as soon as my army contract was over. Quick question though, if we got our NOA2 via case update through the USCIS website, when do you guys think my wife will get her interview at the consulate?

Did you send out your packet 3 yet? (or D-230 Part I and DS-2001) Did she have her medical? They will only schedule the interview after all that is in.

Packet 3 is only a letter stating what you need to send in to receive packet 4 i.e. the interview letter. You can send it all in now you dont need the letter. She has to have had her medical though and also hopefully she has her Police certificate too.

BTW I went through Vermont and it used to be the opposite where Vermont was slow and California was fast. It just changes like the tide I guess.

That's what I thought until my Tennessee (logically should have gone to VSC being far closer) application went to the slow boat. When I called USCIS to ask them why, they just said they try and keep the load balanced. I admit I rather laughed at that.

I think you meant to say DCF is supposed to be super fast.

Not always the case, there have been reports from VJ members who live in Atlantic Coast states having had their files sent to CSC. I have yet to hear of any Pacific Coast state residents having their petitions sent to VSC.
