I am also looking for the answer to this question. I did see that USCIS said once approved, our case will be over-nighted to NVC. I would like to assume it is for the entire process since it doesn't make sense to expedite at one step and not the others....

Congratulations ur case could be completed in 4 oor 5 months. The only thing that could deleay it now is to get you an interview after NVC step. If there isn t a lot of cases pending at the embassy, you good to go!

I don't know, is the expedite only for the uscis part, or does it also affect the next steps?

Expedite requests do not carry over to the next step, a separate request needs to be made each time.

It doesn't make sense but that is how expedite works, so you will have to send your request two more time once @ NVC and also @ the embassy. I will be trying to request an expedite due to deployment, will let you all know how it goes. Hoping hubby will request it, deployment will be happening during this process and if we don't do the expedite it will not be completed before he leaves and he will be gone for a year.process would be on pause for that time.

Hey Laure how ru ? long weekend of waiting. I check my uscis account from time to time, my date was not change. Thus, they have not touched it. my wife is about to send the supporting documents related to her expedite request ( Financial loss)

My was touched on the 19th ans also on the 21st but I'm sure that is just transportation from Chicago to California. Will let you know if I see any more updates.

I am a bit confused about a situation i am currently facing and i would like you guys please help me out. Here is the situation:

I am about to send supporting documents to California service center for a request of expedite my wife requested for financial loss. My wife has a 6 years old boy and she just inform me that her child is not listed as dependent on her income tax.

Questions:

1-- Wouldn t that be a problem if my wife's child not listed as dependent on her income tax ( she has no dependent listed on )?

2- Even though the child is not listed, will he still be considered as dependent and will be included in the household?

3- My wife is living with her mother and 2 sisters, one is 16 and the other is 18 and working. Will they be included as household as well?

4- My wife is also in a critical financial situation beside being pregnant. She is currently the one taking care of her mother and her little sister who is 16. The rent bills she is paying represent 80% of her monthly pay check.Now, i do not want to inform California service center of my wife taking care of these 2 people( mother and sister) not to have her household size increased which could be problem because she made 28.000 dollars a year. What do you think guys, please helppppp!!!!

Whatever you do don't lie, try and find a cosponsor for now because she will have to show that she can take care of them and also you. It is hard but see if she can find a cosponsor

My wife father is currently in Haiti and he is coming back to the US in January. During this time my wife was helping them out. If she is living with them, does that mean they have to be considered as household. Normally the household size should be 3 ( me, my wife and her child). Don t you think so?

With your wife's father in the mix, that changes things from what I previously wrote. Your wife's household count would be 3 as you state. One additional thing, should she have the baby prior to completing the I-864 or prior to your interview, her household count would increase to 4.

Ok Thank you Ryan, my real concern now after your answer is to get my case expedited for financial loss. My wife is currently living a critical financial situation which requires my urgent coming in the US. a )She just went to a doctor confirming that she is pregnant, for probably one month and i have to come in the US to help her with the babe and Doctors appointments. She is sick everyday, throwing up everything, she sometimes call sick at work and this could end up to her firing which would make it worst. b) her rent bills represent 80% of her pay check which make her being broke month after months. So my coming is crucial. Isn t that a good reason to get an expedite? i have requested it and i am preparing documentation to send. What do you think? any advices are welcome

Sorry I answered from my mobile so i gave a general answer of what u needed to do.Currently your wife household includes her mom and sister from the form i looked at, you will need to list all the persons that live in your house. You will also need to include the child on the next tax return in the coming year, if you are asked about omitting the baby last year you need to know why. Also the expedite request need to be proven and the current pregnancy will not be a good enough reason because there is alot of pregnant women going through this process, so it would be good if you had another reason as well to substantiate the expedite like a doctors letter would also help.
