So while bored out of my ever loving mind today I did some counting.. I love numbers and statistic. If nothing else they show patterns

So from January 2011 until October here are how many were approved. VSC

Oct - 35

sept - 62

aug - 111

july - 120

june - 133

may - 79

apr - 5

feb - 2

jan - 0

so not sure what it is telling us exactly...lol.. just know I'm still waiting and we have an NOA1 of April 27

How can a process like this turn us logical, mature adults into whining, crying, temper tantrum throwing adults...

:crying::bonk::rolleyes:

How about take a country into account and do a full statistical analysis. For example to determine a correlation between approved petitions and country of the beneficiary. This way we may be able to find out that some countries get more scrutinity. :) Just an idea

I have a thought to kill two birds with one stone: Why not volunteer to be an "intern" at the VSC? Get in there and get those applications moving! That way you can speed up processing plus have something to occupy your time?

Also agree with not focusing so much on the visa process. I empathize with the desire to be with your love-bug after experiencing loss. I loss oldest son two weeks before I was to meet my fiancee for the first time in 2009, then lost my next son the morning I was to return to see her again, just last Nov. Both of my sons (24 & 26) had sickle cell disease. She was able to come for the 2nd funeral and that was a blessing. Meanwhile, I stopped "watching the clock/calendar" 6 mths after filing the petition. It was finally approved, last week and delivered TODAY. During the process, watching and waiting became too frustrating!

thank you and I really understand this stress and the toll it takes on the couple but when we have to add in such life altering experiences like death it almost puts you over the top. Keep us updated on your progress and really enjoy your life. It makes us so appreciative of each other.

I wish you much love and happiness.. Those words sound so cliche but I truly mean them from my heart.. Now off you go and finish your plans....

Too much stress.

Yep. Me too. I was alot more productive, before I filed this damn petition.

I think I'm going to self-mandate a 2-week vacation from VJ.

Maybe by then, VSC will have forgiven Dan and, put him back in his original spot/order.

I know how it is though, trying to do anything that makes you feel connected and productive in the process. My fiance laughs because I am obsessive about checking processing and such. For me I don't like that I have no control so I do what I have control over. If it makes you feel better to do these things then I say go for it! Time may go faster if you do other things, but if you aren't doing anything anyway and this helps then no harm done. Good luck :)

Stay positive! I'd say it's kinda a good sign when they asked you for the divorce certificate! I've noticed (I think you do too) it won't take very long after you sent them the document they were asking! Also, be thankful as you're in Canada! It's very close to the States compare to other countries on Earth!! Also, no Visa is needed while traveling back and forth! The only thing is, if you're driving to the States, drive safe, stay alert and watch the road!

I'm in Manitoba and have to drive to North Dakota, approximately 5.5 hours drive. My fiancee gets nervous everytime I'm driving... I want winter comes quicker so we'll have our NOA2 sooner but the snow and icy road won't help at all! Have safety inspection for your car, check tires too!

Good luck and hope you'll get your NOA2 soon!! :)
