Hello,

I completed my K1 medical in Canada and received my Vaccine Documentation Medical Worksheet. The form itself is completed properly and signed by a panel physician. The status of my vaccines is "Incomplete - Applicant may be eligible for blanket waiver because vaccinations not medically appropriate."

My question is what is "complete"? On the VJ forums it seems to be different - some say you need a "completed vaccines" status and some just say you need the form properly filled out and signed.

Can I submit this document as acceptable with my I-485 or do I need to pay for a civil surgeon all over again (even though I just spent 350 Cdn on a medical)? I did read the 1-693 thread and it didn't seem to answer my question...

Advice would be much appreciated!

2024 - Instead of renewing, why not go the full monty? (They actually made it really easy to do this)

My husband came here also on a K-1 visa and has done his medical exam overseas in Bosnia and paid around 300 dollars.. and even though it says that who ever has done medical exam overseas and because its valid for one year the immigrant does not have to repeat it. Unfortunately, they say that but not one civil surgeon in Chicago who i called wanted to just fill it out they actually want you to repeat it...even though i BROught them the instructions and point it out where it says that medical exam done overseas is valid for 1 year and does not have to be repeated..they read it n still said IT HAS TO BE REPEATED I AM JUST FOLLOWING MY ORDERS.. we ended up doing that and they charged us 150$,.. thats the cheapest that ive found..ive seen ppl paying 300$..400$..and so on..no joke.. we had to pay again...

I had the same question what I was submitting my packet. We didn't have any forms signed by a civil surgeon here or even a panel physician there. my husband did the physical there, and when he arrived he handed it all over to the immigration officer at the airport. We opted not to do another physical and to hope that everything got to USCIS correctly. it was definitely a risk, but worth it, as we never had any problems with the physical, and my husband got his green card without having to do another physical or anything in the US.

9/24- I-129F received by CSC

9/27 NOA1 received in mail

The reply by HeatDeath seemed to suit your case.

Ahh thanks very much - yes that's exactly it.

Well in that case, can anyone recommend a Civil Surgeon near Santa Fe or Albuquerque New Mexico? I phoned around to several today and they were insisting that I have the full medical done as well. Can anyone recommend a CS that is willing to do the vaccine portion?

Thanks for sharing LoveinPeru - much appreciated! Yes it seems like it's a gamble. I can't seem to find a CS willing to just do the vaccine portion, so I might just take the risk. Great to know it works out for some people!

we went to the USCIS link above and put in our zip code and called them untill we found one that would do the vaccinations. However, they lost my medical in the process so we had to do it again but that happens to a small portion of applicants.

Good luck!

Do you have all the shots that you need? Were you told you were missing any and need to get more in the US?

The form will almost never say "complete" because that means EVERY shot on the list, rather than every shot that is required for your age range.

If you think you've had all the shots you need, just send the Ds-3025. If you think you're missing some then see a CS for the vaccination transcription.

i think you will just have to call around if you dont want to take the risk.again good luck. ... like ive said we ended up repeating it paid only 150..$ i mean its not that much ive seen people pay like 400$ if i was you i wld just call around untill you find the price that might be reasonable... i was on the phone for like 2 hrs trying to find a CS... and i can tell you ive called BUNCHHHHH of them i cant even think how many ..n ive noticed that they wont do the transfer so i gave up and choose the cheapest one..thee problem with them is that they ARE NOTTT willing to sign someone else's job.... :P haha nd all they were accepting is CASH

Ya thanks everyone for all the input - very helpful.

Yes I have basically every single vaccine one can have, my Tdap is up to date. The only thing I haven't had is the annual flu shot - and it's not quite flu season yet. I did spend about 2 hours calling around already and I can't find a price under 200...

I think I will go ahead and submit my form given that I've had all my vaccines needed to immigrate ( which they documented) and see what happens!

Thanks again for all the advice - I love this forum!
