If you use Google chrome you don't have to add anything it already does it automatically for all websites/forums/emails etc.

Thanks for that info

I don't trust my brokers to interface with chrome yet but that is worth knowing !

ps VJ needs an update coz when you hit abc spell (top right), VJ sends you to download iespell which is 18 months out of date - and doesn't seem to work with IE9

Its great to have spell check again ! yaberdaberdoooo < add to dictionary

Historically speaking, explorer is the least secure browser on the market.

It's fussy too - 9 is very easy to mis-set so you can't interface. I download twice an hour from my two brokers - csv files - then I have a mega macro in vba to churn the data into my spreadsheets

For a while, I could not interface ie 9 and had to hit master default reset to get it working at all on opening exported files. I think it is not set to default when it is downloaded - but I cant prove it

I should try chrome i guess and see what happens

any downside to chrome ? jeez this speckie spell checker is nice. Death to iespell

Does it support my utility to auto refresh every few minutes - I use that to keep my banks and brokers from auto log off

Hah ! I have it set to yankee-speak so I can communicate with strange new worlds and civilisations (civilizations)

I only found it coz wife is a Milwaukeeite and is raving about the Packers playing right now - so I am on the computer. She is screeching with joy so they must be winning

I have decide to set a restore point on windows 7 and try chrome tomorrow ..

Anyway, even if yankees get to spell it right eg Weiner - they still pronounce it wrongly as weener when it's wyner

What is needed is a pronunciation checker to strap on their caps - it would give em a taser (tazer) jolt every time they pronounce Iraq as eye - rack

It's fun here in Aye -merica but I feel like a missionary some times ! (Actually, thats what the hungry African said)

I use spell checker all the time and mine works great i cant spell worth a darn.

do you use Google chrome or internet explorer with iespell ?

I have a theory that iespell doesn't work properly with explorer 9

I can't spell either but don't tell Charles or he will be merciless and he will stop me picking on people who cant spell

If you want spell check as you type and you have internet explorer, this speckie is great

I use chrome for everything and haven't had a downside yet to it. Its got its own PDF viewer but you can mod that to work with all PDFs.

How about Firefox?

Tried that about 2 months ago and didn't like it, but I cant remember why - its been a long day....

The only add in ('extension' chrome calls em) I really needed was the auto updater and this one I have found is really slick

Looks like chrome has enough for me to give it a go for a while but the options are a lot less than IE - but nobody understands IE advanced options anyway and they seem to do more harm than good so big deal

hum I might get to like this as it is pretty simple
